    Happy Birthday to yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - hoping Lucy is having a wonderful Birthday :) t69044 t69044 t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591

Of course, take some breakfast for Lucy, as much as you need, it is one of many, in the oven, so we can feast. Absolutely a special breakfast for her Toni.

Glad she liked the cake, with a real life one, ready for tonight. Thank you for putting the order in, I think Barbara wants to come along, so that makes 20 now............best make it 30, just in case :D:D
They will know you all so well, having been there throughout Lucy's treatment and keeping her fed on wonderful curry. A stronger taste is often needed during chemo, as most things taste of metal and or cardboard :? :?

Mother was just about to buy a dinghy, but then she saw the sunshine today and clicked off the catazon page. Lovely blue skies and clear as a bell.

There was some noise early on, not sure what time, must have been Miss Sleek and Mrs D coming through to see Mother.
I think they will be out on the hill tomorrow, now that the flight ban has been lifted m0150 t115006

Oh yes, meat eaters can certainly enjoy no meat meals. There are so many different veggie and vegan dishes now. It used to be sosmix and soya chunks that you put in stews. They were like pieces of rubber  :lol:

Enjoy the party later on, make as much noise as possible, to wind people up :lol::lol:

Hi Joan and Sue - So they could not get the endoscope down last time, not quite sure what they will do to get around it this time. :?

It was a three year training course, you had to have enough O Levels, to apply to go into nursing, then did your three years of training, then so many years as a staff nurse, then charge nurse...........Every day you learnt something new though and every patient is different, even if they have the same diagnosis.

Hope you are both ok and have some sunshine today. It will be cold tonight I would guess.

A 14 day course of AB's, that's a decent length of time Mig. Do you always keep a supply in stock, ready for such times?

Sending lots of ((())) for you to feel better by Tuesday, if not sooner, for your knit and natter Christmas luncheon. t115006 t115006 t115006

Hi Barbara, you are keeping young Niamh entertained. How are the children and Mum, next door, keep meaning to ask. And the young man in rehab, I hope he is getting back to his usual self.

You liked the Chocolate Orange cake then Kath, that was some running trip / jump, into the cake t120005 :lol:

The Mango and Lemon Curd cake is still fresh, enjoy :)

That would have been a shock. Poor Alex, good job the injuries are relatively mild if his bike was a write off   £10 to fix a wheel and just drive off, shame on the driver, I hope the Police find him. Grrrr. Magic squares on the way, to ease those ouches. t115006 t115006

Now, that root veg stew and dumplings looks super wonderful. I will sneak a couple of bowls, for later. I love all the ingredients t4591 Thank you kindly.

Did you manage to venture out, or is it still pourin mi duck?

Carol and Mr T will be on their way back home now, cups of T and rests with feet up, will be the order of the day, on arrival. I will get the kettle on. Hope you had lots of cuddles and a lovely time with the family :)

I had better move, oodles of washing to sort, well, B throws it on the counter tops :lol: and I have a sort out. Lots of immaculisation done. The sunshine must have caused a Spring clean

Cake, we need cake, special cakes, for 21st Birthdays.

t4591 t115006 Love and Sparkles to all. Will pop back later. Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan

Hi to all - Frosty out tonight, didn't expect that, but better than another day of rain.

That's good Mig, always keeping a supply to hand, catching things early is always best. Hope you feel better asap t115006

Hi Barbara - I thought I heard the bus, I hope we were in time for Lucy's party, lots of yummy curry to eat and cake, of course. Niamh is a love, thanking you and clearing all the plates, she is a darling t4591 t4591

So your neighbours ex, is not paying the mortgage, well that will be sorted in court, as soon as possible. They will know if he has money, you cannot hide everything. Now he wants to get back together - the bare faced cheek of it.

I am glad to hear that your friend who is in rehab, is doing ok, earning rewards like phoning people, means he is heading in the right direction. I can imagine it will cost a lot of money, but, you cannot put a price on someones health or life. t4591 t4591

It did seem a long time, doing the nurse training, but, when I look back, I wonder where did 26 years go

Sleek and Mrs D have been over to sit with Mother, she said all the peeples of the family were out in a foodery eating hot things for Lucy's Birthday  - Mother was most intrigued. She was showing them where Daddy had been clippering out some lugs.

    Hope you had a lovely time t4591 t4591 t4591

Hi to Carol, did you have a nice time with family, not too long a journey home I trust. You will need a bit of a rest, your fingers will be sore from all the knitting. t115006 t115006

Hi to everyone else, in and about.

Off to town tomorrow, pop into the T room, take their card and have coffee and cakes, of course, it would be rude not to. Just a little shopping from Sainsb and that will be enough.

Time I was moving again. Everyone take lots of care. Love and sparkles all round t4591 t115006 t115006 XXX Aidan

You got it Kath!! I did feel old my baby is 21?!

How nasty was that driver leaving Alex like that but I am very very glad to hear he is ok that is the main thing. I rather like the sound of the sri-lankan stew. Thanks :D

Barbara I am pleased to hear how well your friend is doing. Good old NHS and hope he remains well once he is home.

Niamh is a proper sweetie isn't she? and so good mannered. She can come and help here anytime :)

As for your neighbour's husband - he'll get his comeuppance in good time :x

Hi Joan! an E-X-ray! That's new to me! Sounds interesting though :)

Sleek and Mrs D did indeed visit Mother they were intrigued by the 'hot' food that peeples eat. Sleek said it sometimes comes to the house the same food and she had tried it, but it isn't nice for small cats e040.gif

I caught her later on trying to trim her own fur  I explained that she and Mrs D and Tommy are short-haired and do not need lugs removing.

WE did indeed have a lovely time Lucy liked your cake! It was better than the once Lucy had chosen herself from Asda. Mind you it tasted nice!!!

Nice to see you and Barbara there too! Did I see Kath...maybe Joan...?

I enjoyed the maple and pecan pull-apart buns this moring thanks :)

I know mig 21!! Shocking isn't it? I hope 14 days of ABs are enough ((()))

I will post some more pics on another post - only allowed 2 these days

    Love to everyone

Oh dear Toni. my baby is 35! :? I feel ancient. The photos were lovely. Was Lucy shedding a little tear? Bless. t4591

I think Alex is OK. The driver was a young lady who rang her dad. It was he who offered a tenner for the wheel and then gave Alex a rollicking which Dawn heard over the phone, before he drove off. CREEP Grrr. Sorry, I still feel angry for them.

By the way, Emily is a bit better. She never had any time off as schools are renown for being short staffed.

Maple and Pecan pull apart buns - how scrummy. NuNu at the ready. :D No, I'll get down and lick the crumbs. Waste not want not.

((((Niamh)))) what an absolute darling. t4591

I'm glad the flight ban has been lifted, now the pusskins can get out again.

I've just turned to Talking Pictures. "Family at War " is on in 10 mins. Remember that?

Vegan Carrot cake. I thought this was so pretty, so am sharing it with you.

    Ingredients
    For the icing
    4 sachets (200g) creamed coconut
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tbsp cashew nut butter
    50g icing sugar
    60ml oat milk
    For the cake
    250ml jar coconut oil, melted
    300g light brown sugar
    1 ½ tsp vanilla essence
    210ml dairy free milk

    , we used oat milk
    420g plain flour
    1 ½ tsp baking powder

1 ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

    1 tsp cinnamon

, plus extra cinnamon to decorate
    1 tsp ginger

    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 orange

    , zest only
4 medium carrots, grated (you want 270g grated weight)
    75g chopped walnuts

    , plus extra to decorate
    edible flowers (optional)
    Method
Start by making the icing first. Mash the coconut cream with 2 tbsp hot water and the lemon juice until smooth. Add the cashew butter then whisk in the icing sugar followed by the oat milk. Continue to whisk until fully combined, set aside in the fridge until needed.

Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas mark 4. Grease 2 x 20cm cake tins with a little of the melted coconut oil and line the bases with baking parchment. Whisk together the oil and sugar, then add the vanilla and milk. Combine the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, spices and orange zest in a separate bowl. Add these to the wet mixture and stir well. Finally stir in the carrot and the nuts. Divide the mixture between the prepared tins and bake for 25-30 mins until a skewer inserted into the middle of the cake comes out cleanly. Cool in the tin for 5 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Sandwich the cakes together with half the icing then cover the top with the remaining icing (add a splash of oat milk if the icing feels too firm). Scatter over the nuts and dust the cake with a little cinnamon and decorate with edible flowers.

I know you are a bit partial to Carrot cake.

Afternoon to all, it is nearly dark already  :? so Monday has gone in a flash..............Not raining, hoorah and not windy either.

Hi Joan and Sue - I was a Charge Nurse for quite a few years, then Matron / Deputy Matron when I worked in the Private sector. Then Assistant Ward Manager when I went back into the NHS, so many different titles, I think they used to make them up and change them every so often   :lol:

I wonder if you are having a capsule endoscopy, a bit like taking one of the large antibiotic capsules, but these havea micro camera, lights, etc, inside the capsule, that sends images back to the computer. Just a thought.

I hope you are both as ok as can be, the lovely doggies too.

Hi Barbara, of course you are right to be biased, Niamh is super special and a very kind young girl. t4591 t4591

I am sure you neighbour will get there, that is good for her to be speaking to her Father again, after such a long time. t115006 Strange how life makes unexpected turns for us all.

Good too that your friend will be home for Christmas, with a back up plan in place, excellent.

We did enjoy the T rooms and they loved their Christmas card, full of glitter and sparkles :lol: t115006 t115006 The coffee was extra good and the scone and cream, well, there was more than enough cream for two. Happy boy. :)

Our window cleaner has just been and gone, duly paid up in full :) Nice man, his wife works on the reception on the park, lovely lady.

Mother was shrieking from 6 in the morning Toni, she had an itch in her right ear, you know when they hold one ear down - she would not settle, so she stopped with me on the bed and I gently stroked her ears, there was nothing to see, just one of those itches you have trouble scratching. Bless her. She will have told Sleek all about it I am sure.

Mother said she cannot eat hoomans hot food, she said the smell is enough

They all went up to Pendle this morning and gathered some frosted dew, perfect for the Nymphs, to stitch into the clouds t115006 t115006 It was lovely and clear and crisp, Mother quite enjoyed sitting in her side car, nice and warm, while Miss Sleek was busy gathering frost. Mrs D sat on Mothers lap  :lol:

No, no need for de lugging, Mother is the one who grows them   I did well yesterday, miss a day, then some more de lugging tomorrow. Don't want to push my luck. :animal_busy:

Glad to hear you had a lovely time, the pictures are wonderful, the cake looks so sweet and of course, tasted good :)

I think Kath was there, helping out in the kitchens apparently, taste testing the food, to see if it met exacting standards, which of course it did.

Of course, a Unicorn, how could anyone have a Birthday without one t115006 t115006 t115006

Oh dear, don't feel old Kath, you are not old at all. Even if your baby is 35.

Poor Alex, no need for that was there...........grrrrr is right. Let's go find em, gerrem towd mi duck,

Emily has been a trooper, working all the way through her horrid cold and cough, I bet she is looking forward to some time off soon.

Now, come up off the floor Kath, no need to lick up the crumbs, even though the floor is immaculised.:lol::lol: what ya like eh.

Family at War, no, not heard of that one........................

The carrot cake is delicious, thank you kindly. I am all over it like a rash

Right, I must away, time and tide are not on my side today. I will be back later, when I catch up with my pottering.

    Hello All

Well back home and recovered from being absolutly shattered. we got home around 9pm on Saturday evening after a very hetic 36 hours. We managed to see everyone. except GS and his GF her her little ones as CS was working. Graycies party was cancelled on Thursday as she was still not too well, so GD decided it was best to cancell. but we were able to have dinner with GD and GGDs and my sister on Saturday so was able t give Graycie her birthday present and card although her birthday is not till the 12th. It was then back to collect our luggage which they were keeping at the hotel for us and then off to see Daughter at her house and delivered all the presents to her. Then after a cuppa and a chat it was back to the station for the train home.

Yesterday I was absolutly shatterd so did not go to church I just had a day at home. but all in all it was a good weekend and the aches and pains have behaved themselves.

The little ones have grown so much i wish they would slow down. I have a beautiful picture that my GD gave me of all three together in Christmas dresses. she had some taken professionally. if take a good picture of it so I can get it on my laptop I will post it for you.

I have missed so much on the forum lately due to being so busy with the knitting but now that things have calmed down a little i can get back into it all again.

I love our new Christmas Emojis

I'd love to see that photo Carol! Sounds as though you had a great time.

You must be shattered I would be after those really busy few days. " days to Graycie's birthday I bet she can't wait bless her.

Feet up now young lady!! Time for a rest

Kath we LOVE carrot cake here and vegan one even more. It looks so pretty :)

Don't our babies grow up too fast. Can't say I'm 21 now can I if my baby is

Aidan Sleek has been working on an anti-itching spell (I have an itch on the back of one hand which will not GO!! Had it about 2 weeks now. She thinks she can use it in Mother's ear :?

Bless them when they do that with their ear :( I hope Tosca is ok now.

She did enjoy their ride out. It was a chilly but bright day which they love best especially when they can get some frosted dew ;) Sleek had Mother tucked up really cosily in her side car. t115006

Nice clean windows then? Lovely all good :) Nice window cleaner is important.

There were many more birthday unicorns I will take some more pics tomorrow :)

Hi to all, a very calm and quiet night, hardly a breath of wind, all is whisper quiet, up here in the woods. :D:D :animal_busy:

Hi Carol - I thought you would be pretty tired after your whirlwind family visits
Glad you managed to see most of the family, save GS and GF, delivered presents, had a meal with family, cups of T and more presents with your Daughter.

You must have been loaded with luggage   I bet your poor feet were shouting.

Glad you are home safe and sound, Mr T too, are we in a good humour, dare I ask............ :? :?:lol:

Cannot blame you for missing out on Church, you needed the rest and relaxation, to recover. We all push ourselves onward, sometimes, well, most times, to our detriment. The Good Lord will understand that your aching bones need to rest. t115006 t115006
Some magic squares are dotted about, so expect glitter and help with any ouches.

Looking forward to seeing the picture you mention. Oh they are growing like mad, I am sure. If we manage to gather some of the hours weeks and months, that are stored in the shed, would we be able to turn back the clock a little?? t115006 t115006

Hermione said NO - Oh, ok, just a thought :? :?

You can relax a little now that the knitting is all done for now. Everything is ticking along nicely here, with cakes a plenty and goodies of all descriptions t4591 t4591 t7304 t7304

Hi Toni, I think the anti itch spell that Sleek has done the trick, but, Mother won't sleep on her bed now, on the dressing table - NO idea why, she was adamant that she was NOT going to stay in it at siesta time, hence she was up and about shrieking and munching sweets

I have immacluised all bedding, washed, tumbled, everything perfect. So, the bed, is on my bed, for now, we will see if she settles in it later :? :? :?

At least her ears are equal and no dropped, which is good.

They did enjoy their trip out to Pendle, it was a lovely fresh crisp morning.

Window cleaners are uber important :) After all the storms and driving rain, they get so grubby. All sparkly now :D:D

Looking forward to seeing more pictures :D:D:D t115006 t115006

Sleek said she is going to cast a spell on your itchy hand, when you are asleep. t115006 t115006

Going to the Range today, not far from us, B will wheel me around, while I clutch onto a basket. Always worth a nosy.

Then BIG tesco, I can whizz myself around there, in a buggy. Have coffee and cakes etc, while the gents give Bette a nice clean and polish. They do such a good job, the car always looks showroom new. t115006 t115006

That will be enough, for one day.

Hi to everyone else, in and about, busy getting ready for Christmas. Time is flying past. t07108 t7304 t7304

Lovely breakie Aidan thanks V muchly! Spinach cheese and egg are 3 of my favourite foods!

The girls were up early this morning Sleek wanted to be there and back as she had catazon delivery due. This time presents for Mrs D and Tosca. Sadly Mother might not be happy as hers is another onesie (with tail again) this time in shades of gold and silver. Oh and a hairbrush!! For the ‘lugs’ she said. I am extremely doubtful myself. But a nice gift is a book ‘The illustrated History of Felines at Hogwarts from 1900 to 2009’

Mrs D is having a new cover for her broomstick and a fleece seat cover for it in shades of gold and silver…am I seeing a theme here?

Tommy Thumb has a toy wand ‘to get him started’ and a set of walking reins in…….you guessed it! Shades of gold and silver.

We love the Range too myself and Kari – love it!! Could do the whole house if I was rich :)

Hi Kath vegan roly poly!!! I don’t think Kari could think of anything better! I was cold out, but managed my walk this morning. Lucy was at work twice the kids sang her happy birthday and the staff gave her £70 towards her cure-leukaemia birthday pressie fund. How kind are they?

Hi Joan Lucy did have a lovely day and as you can see today was great too. She was spoilt at school work and then spent the afternoon being an elf!!

Hi Barbara we did miss you! Glad all is well. Your ‘baby is 42?!! You must have been a child bride that’s all I can say

Niamh is a treasure, but I bet all your Grandchildren are. Imagine the day when she is 21. But you know that will come sooner than any of us expect won’t it? It really was only 5 minutes ago Lucy was a baby.

Hello to Carol I hope all is well. Don’t worry while you are away I managed to take plenty of fruit to the animals in the sanctuary.

I bet your hands are happy with the break from knitting!!

    Love to everyone

    Toni xx

    Evening all

well had another reasonably relaxed day to went to SW weigh in this morning I had gained half lb but was pleased as this was over a 3 week period. also seeing as I have not been overly good the last 2 weeks this was a shock I expected a larger gain
the following picture of the girls is not the one given to me by GD on Saturday but one that was on FB hope you like it there are a few more but I do not have them on my laptop yet.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/fhc7rxmqe7tg7zl/47130172_10217370326987807_473771262531862528_n.jpg?dl=0

Barbara yes I have taken it easy the last few days but it was all worth it despite the party being cancelled. Graycie loved her Birthday present which I gave her on Saturday. Graycie really is going through the wars she now has a ear infection she is still not fully well from the flu either but she is eating now. so hopefully she will get better soon.

Joan Yes things have slowed down a bit but it will not last as we now have the run up to Christmas t7304 which is always a bit hectic. but the busier I am the better I like it.

Aiden Yes it was a good weekend luggage wasn't too bad as we were only away one night so it only meant 1 change of clothing but presents took up most of the space.
It was my back that was shouting by the time I got home on Saturday. Yes Mr T is in a reasonably good humour at present. Long may it last. I must admit I did find lots of glitter when we got home with the magic squares dotted around.
oh if only we could turn the clocks back a little it would be good. Such a shame Hermione sys No

Hi Toni just caught you there thanks for keeping the sanctuary supplied with fruit for our lovelies I have had nice break from knitting I have not touched any for 5 days now but need to sort something to do at knitting group tomorrow

Well must now have a potter now

Love sparkles to all t4591 t115006

Finally, here at last - and that was Tuesday

Will come back to that - nothing dramatic, just time has run away.

Hi there Joan and Sue - I am not sure which hospitals offer the new capsule camera, to view inside, I might well be wrong about the E Endoscopy, if they are not using the tube, then not sure apart from a barium swallow, which is a chalky drink. :? :?

Hope you are both ok, keeping warm and cosy. Love to the doggies too.

Hi Kath, so you are frozzen mi duck, it was chilly last night, boiled in here, with the heating on and the dryer going

Did you go to your benches? No ice creams in winter? Mind you, that would not put me off at all :lol: t110007

Thank you for the apple roly poly - I will have a portion or three. Good job you were to hand, for something nice and sweet to eat. t4591 t4591

Hi Barbara, did you miss yesterday, I cannot remember, oh dear, we are two peas in a pod   :? :?:lol:

The staff at the T rooms were very pleased with their card, as were the staff at the GC. It is nice to show you care and thank them for looking after us so well - not that we / I am a fussy customer :? :? no, not at all.

We went to the Range, it is not one of the biggest ones, nor was the chariot. I just about squished my backside into it - no laughing matter, I can see you grinning :lol::lol: I thought, when it comes time to get out, I will have the bloomin thing stuck to me    :lol: B did a wonderful job of wheeling me around, I clung on to the basket while he had a field day with the craft things. I was happy down the cleaning aisle :lol:
We were not too long, as sitting in a wheelchair absolutely creases me - give me Tramadol, right now....................

So many sparkly things, SO many Unicorns, I wanted them all - but was not allowed t115006 t115006  It is a bit tight, getting around with the wheelchair, you are quite right.

Our beds are all done too, wonderful, I could have fresh sheets every day, but B would not be too happy being room service every morning :lol:

Mother is in quite a good mood, she has now taken to having her plumptious bed, on one side of my bed, she is not going on the dressing table any more. I don't mind, she is right there with me and settles very quickly, bless her. All her comfies are all freshly laundered too. She is like the Princess and the Pea :lol: t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591

No, the window cleaner is hit and miss, if we ask his wife, on reception, on the park, he will come and do them, in between times. All clean, ready for Christmas t07108 t07108

Hi Toni, glad you enjoyed your breakfast, I must have known :)

Mother said they were out and back and Sleek was gone in a flash...............that's why, the catazon delivery. I won't mention the onsie that Mother has for Christmas, silver and gold, sounds lush, I am sure we can get her in it............
She will LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hogwarts Book, of Felines, through the years............... t4591 t115006 t115006 t115006 t115006 My lips are sealed.

Mother is waiting for Sleeks presents, they should be here this week. An emerald green tiara, with matching emerald wand - (highly prized apparently). t115006 two pairs of vegan Laboutin Booties - they are so glam. Some baby pink blusher and new catscara's - that is what I know, so far..................

Are, there is a theme if Mrs D is having a new cover for her broom, in matching silver and gold. t4591 t4591

Mother will be pleased that she can keep tabs on Tommy Thumb, with his new silver and gold reigns :? :? there IS a theme, for sure :lol: The wand will do little magic spell, like making hot chocolate and fizzing and popping etc, so he will be super pleased

Oh we would have a field day, when we win the lottery, we will be at the Range and say "pack it all, wrap it all, deliver it all" thank you 8) 8) 8) 8)

Love the pics and I am afraid I have Unicorn envy :? :? :?:lol: I knew B should have let me buy all the ones I saw today :lol:

I need a birthstone unicorn and Moonlight too, I am going to search for them asap.

Lucy was spoilt at school and what a lovely gesture to raise the money for the Cure Leukaemia fund. I gave to the child cancer trust yesterday - t4591 it all helps t115006

Mother will have told Sleek that her bed of many comfies, is now on Daddy's bed, so she can see the TV better :lol:
Her "powder room" has also been immaculised, so litter throwing at dawn, me thinks.

Hi Carol - good that you have had a bit more of a rest and well done at SW, half a lb is neither here nor there and you are well within target still, all credit to you t4591

The girls look just adorable in their outfits t4591 t4591

Poor Graycie has an ear infection as well, poor mite, sending her extra get well sparkles t115006 t115006

I bet your back was shouting when you arrived home. My sympathies

Glad to hear that Mr T is in good humour and that you found glitter dotted about, all good signs that the magic squares are around and about :)

Hope you find something to do at the knitting group, could you not hold the wool for someone else :lol:

From the Range we went to the Tesco Extra, parking is all under the store, we left the car at the valeting area, oh she was filthy, from rain and mud and leaves and pine needles. Gold valet please.........................see you later.

Into Costa's, which is only a mini walk from the valeting area. We had one of the new festive Cheese Board Panini - with a port wine sauce. Very nice they were too. Then a lemon tart each, which were even nicer :D:D:D

Up the lift and into one of the buggy's. It was the oldest buggy since time began, one of the clattering three wheelers, but, it got me around the shop ok :) We didn't need a lot.

B went to get the car, which looks like new. I said we have got new wheels, they are gleaming. They do such a good job, inside and out. The seats are leather and they were super polished and slippery :lol: Felt very posh, riding home 8) 8) Well worth the money

We were glad to get home and have a cup of T.

Quiet evening, pottering and the like.

Taking Dad to Sainsb or Tesco, whichever. Then back here for croissants and coffee lunch.

Right, I need another potter, move the joints a little.

Hi to everyone else, in and about. Lots of love and sparkles to all t4591 t115006 Take lots of care XXXX Aidan

We didn't go out yesterday, but we did today - in the dark - choc-ices on the bench. People must think we're mad. They'd be right.

Oh mig, you missed your knit and natter, and can't go shopping with your sister. No, not a good idea for your BIL to get your cold with his bad chest. t115006 t115006

Sue, both my hips are shouting. My sit upon is joining in too. I don't know what a GI liver test is.

Aidan, mountain berry pancakes I'm front of the queue for a few of those.

Carol, three little angels, all in red. Beautiful.

    t110007 t110007 t110007 t110007 m0150 t111055 t111055 t111055 t111055

How about a warming bowl of beefless stew. I'm sure Kari will love it as it's vegan (as are all the recipes I choose).

    INGREDIENTS
1½ large yellow or white onions, chopped into ¾-inch pieces (about 3 cups)
3 medium carrots, sliced lengthwise and cut into ¾-inch pieces (about 2¼ cups)
3 ribs celery, cut into ¾-inch pieces (about 1 cup)
2 medium portabella mushrooms, cut into ¾-inch pieces (about 4 cups)
1½ tablespoon finely chopped garlic (about 6 medium cloves)
    5 cups water
2 pounds white potatoes, peeled and cut into ¾-inch chunks (about 6 cups)
⅓ cup tomato paste (half of a 6-ounce can)
1 tablespoon dried Italian herb seasoning
    1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh rosemary
1½ cups cooked peas (if frozen, rinse under warm water)
    ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
    INSTRUCTIONS
Heat 1 tablespoon of water in a soup pot over medium-high heat. When the water starts to sputter, add the onions, carrots, and celery, and and cook, stirring frequently, for about 8 minutes, adding water as needed.
Stir in the mushrooms and garlic, and continue to cook while stirring for 5 minutes more, adding water as needed.
Add the 5 cups of water, potatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and paprika, and bring to a boil, uncovered. Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the rosemary. Cover and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the carrots and potatoes are very tender.
Add the peas and cook for 5 minutes more.
Place 2 cups of the stew (broth and vegetables) into a blender, and blend just briefly. Stir the mixture back into the pot to thicken the stew. Stir in the parsley.

Afternoon to all - quite a pleasant day here, chilly ish, but at least there is no rain, especially after the car has been immaculised

Hi Joan and Sue - Sue has had the barium swallow, not nice, very chalky, but less invasive than a camera. Hiatus hernia's are very common and cause acid reflux, pain and discomfort, feeling sickly or bloated.

I am not too sure about the GI Liver assessment, it could likely be an ultrasound exam, plus in depth blood studies. That will be two appointments, we will be there, for both, to make sure you are ok t4591 t4591

Oh dear Mig, you are still full of cold and bad cough. Shame you had to miss the knit and natter group and then shopping with your Sister.
As you say, you don't want to pass it on, to anyone else who might be vulnerable.
Best go peek at the ironing, before it hits the ceiling :lol:
Toni and I will come over and sort all the washing and ironing t4591

Extra ((())) for you to feel better asap t115006 t115006 Enjoy your supper :)

If it is still a bit dark, early morning, then so be it and if you want to eat ice cream, on your benches, then you can. I would sit there with a tub of malteser ice cream and a big spoon - just to make people look -:lol::lol:

Some magic squares are on their way, to help with the hip ouches and the bottom ouches too. Expect glitter and sparkles going off m0150 m0150 t115006 t115006

Loads of mountain berry pancakes, I see you were first in line, good for you, early bird catches the goodies :D:D

I am there, with my begging bowl, for the beef free stew, it looks delicious. Will take a bit, to have with supper later on. Thank you kindly. t4591 t4591

We were out and soon back, with lots of croissants and a few bits of shopping. Dad was happy to have his lunch with us, plus they were selling the taste the difference new york cheesecakes at next to nothing, as they run out of date today - ok, give me, give me.............:lol: Very nice it all was too.

Dad has gone on his way, back round to home. Postie has only just been, at 2.45, getting later, the nearer it gets to Christmas, loads more to deliver, I bet they love it - not.

Hi to Toni, I am guessing a busy day. Sleek was out with Mother, early doors, there was mist on the tops, so they had a good gathering to deliver to the nymphs in the ravine. Sleek was very excited and was itching to tell Mother what she had for Christmas, but Mother said no and gave one of her "looks", we must wait until Christmas she said.

Hermione said that all puskin scholars of Hogwarts will receive a special Christmas Hamper each - with magical contents   t115006 t115006 Sleek is over the moon and Mother has had a spell of shrieking about it too t4591   Mrs D is very pleased too.

Hope you are ok Carol, did you manage to sort something out for your knitting group?

Hi to Barbara (thanks for the lovely card) xx Hope you and yours are all as ok as can be. Now, before you appear, I will go and put the cake out, that I made earlier :? :? who am I kidding eh.

I will pop back later on. In the meantime, lots of love and sparkles. Everyone take care XXXX t4591 t115006 Aidan

I expect the litter was all over the place by this morning

A special hamper from Hermione? how exiting now I know why Sleek was shrieking. She said Christmas presents are secrets paw to lips. I think she's got the message now. Pepe always gave in and told her before the big day you see t4591 t115006

Hi to all - on a very chilly night, lazy icy cold wind t110007 t110007

Hi Toni, yes, Mother has Sleek all worked out :lol: diamonds and emeralds are a Sleeks best friend :D:D t115006

Mother seems ok with her plumptious bed on my bed, a good idea of Miss Sleeks. There has been a bit of shrieking about it, but she soon settles. I can keep a hand on a paw, if needs be t4591

Not too much litter throwing, just a bit that needed vacuuming up. More glitter than anything, since B searched out some little Christmas decs from one of the wardrobes and put them on my bed to sort. It had to be vacuumed, it was SO sparkly  :lol:

Pepe was hopeless at keeping presents a secret, he could not help himself, bless him. t4591

I see you are off to see Dr Tim today, with Lucy. We will be there, under the cloak. I will let the cloak gather me up as required - quivering is it, all ready to go then

The cheesecake was a bit rich, so I didn't have any more, causing a lot of pain with my IBS   cannot win

I will manage a little of the peach frangipane though, have to at least try some.

We will have Migs ironing done in no time at all. :D:D

Hi to everyone else, in and about. I seem to have run out of time, nosing at the news - yet more drama and brexit - time has run away and it is going up for 1am already.

I must away and potter a bit. Leaving lots of love and sparkles to everyone t4591 t115006 t115006 Take care, keep warm, it is going colder for sure. XXXX Aidan
