Having a much needed breather after this morning. We went to the Co-op and had a sit on the benches munching choc-ices. Very quiet, as the schools are closed for half term. We'll be suffering tonight and tomorrow. Especially as it's supposed to rain tomorrow. I was very pleased with our pusscats tearing the bouncy castles to shreds. Extra tuna lattes all round I think. :animal_busy: :animal_busy: :animal_busy: :animal_busy: :animal_busy:

So Sleek was in the ravine Toni. She ain't daft is she. Hope you come first in BKV, you certainly put enough effort into it. Did you see the lovely photos of Prince Louis? Kate takes a lovely pic (unlike me, always chop their heads off).

Thank you for the Bruschetta Benedict Aidan - fried eggs are good fo me. Hopefully you should keep a bit cooler for the week, as the weather changing.

Sending hugs for Barbara, hope you are getting over your sad event.

    Tuna Toasties

    INGREDIENTS
160g tinned tuna in spring water, drained
    200g tinned sweetcorn, drained
    6 tablespoons plain yoghurt
4 slices of your preferred bread — try a panini roll
    50g mild cheddar cheese, grated
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1
Preheat the grill to a medium heat

    2
In a bowl, mix together the drained tuna, sweetcorn and yoghurt

    3
Divide the mixture evenly between the 4 slices of bread and top with the grated cheese

    4
Place your open toasties under the grill for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden

    5
    Serve once cooled.

Afternoon to all - a cooler start to the day, which was pleasant. A bit warmer, now that the dryer has been on and much fussing about.

The housekeeper has been round doing the beds (B), so wishy washy's kitchen has been busy away............

Hi Toni, yes, our dearest puskins were deep in the ravine. The temperature remains pretty constant (we should all live down there). Mother has been shrieking her head off, about the "discussions" they had with the Nymphs   She has now gone back onto her bed on my bed, giving the fan, a withering look........... :? :?

Sleepy spells at siesta time then, while they watch Gok, on re runs - bless, they do like all the frocks. The shop is not that far from us, in Colne, Boundary Mill's way.

I have a feeling they are planning a visit to the shop, nipping over Pendle and into the next valley, they would be there in no time. A quick sneak into the shop and then rifle through the dresses :lol: t115006 t115006 Maybe not tomorrow, as there is thunder forecast and we know how jittery Hermione gets :? :?

Mother likes Sleeks St George's Day flag, there is SO much room in her ickle house.

Tommy sent a note to Mother, ju swee parly frenchy toot lu tomp    :lol::lol:
Mother sent a note back, continue d'essayer (keep trying).

Mrs D is picking up the language very quickly. Tommy is trying bless him t4591

Now is a good time for seeding the grass, with rain on the horizon for the coming days. I hope last year was an exception. Too hot, for too long.

It is best to stay in the booth, until it has finished its wash rinse and high pressure air drying - not good for ones hair style, but.........needs must   :lol:

    bad-hair-day.jpg

MIND are very good and raising awareness is paramount. None of us should have to hide our problems, fears etc, if they impact on your daily life, then there is a need for help. t115006

Not long to BKV, you have to win...............Barbara and I will pop over to your "rival" village and spread veggie peelings all over, on the day of judging :lol:

Hi Joan and Sue - hope you are both as ok as possible. Not quite as warm today, which is better for pottering about.
GP and Consultants seem to want me on just about everything going

I do keep pottering, standing or sitting for any length of time, is not good........so I am up and about like an ill sitting hen :lol:

Hi Kath, ice creams on your benches- peace and quiet, for you, which was nice. Most of our schools have gone back today..........holidays are all to pot, can't get mi ed round it mi duck  :?

Hope your ouchies are not too troublesome, after your busy morning. I will send the bush babies over with some magic squares, to keep things calm.

The puskins did enjoy having a bounce around, before ripping the castle to shreds  :lol: then disposing of it properly.

I have seen the official photo's of Prince Louis, as you say, most, if not all, the Royal family, take a great picture. I do NOT like my photo taken at all..............far too many chins, to fit on one picture - I have to go on panorama mode  :lol::lol:

I am looking forward to it being cooler. We need to live in Aberdeen - nice and cool on the far north east coast. t110007 t110007

Hi Barbara, thoughts and prayers remain with you all. It is a difficult time and saying don't worry, just doesn't work...........but, I will send extra ((())) to help everyone.

Hi to Carol and to Mig, to all our other friends as well. Time I was pottering again.............I will call back later.

Love and Sparkles to all t4591 t115006 XXXX Aidan

Hi to all - it is a bit cooler tonight, thank goodness. Some rain on the cards for the coming days. Our river is very dry and the streams are almost non existent.

Hi Barbara - I am glad that you have had a day off, as chief supervisor to the garden makeover. Well, someone has to take charge and make sure things go smoothly :D:D t69044 Anything that makes life that bit easier for you, is a good thing. I am sure your Son and Mr B worked very hard.

The utter horrors of the suicide bombings in Sri Lanka are just mind numbing.:cry: Fathers, loosing their children, one loosing his wife and two children. Those who tried to escape from one blast, where caught in another, that had been planned, to kill more, while they tried to get out.
We really are in the midst of dark times.

You are very welcome to the goodies and a little kindness goes a long way, as we all know and share, with each other, on and off the forum. t4591 t4591

It is limbo time now, waiting for the funeral, always the most strange of feelings. I can understand how difficult it must be for you, with your Niece having many problems.

Oh yes, Mum said folks are daft when it is hot, they speed in their cars and scream and shout and do all sorts of odd things   :? :? m0150 m0150

Look forward to the pic from the wedding  we are much the same. As for selfies, I cannot abide being on them. I always look like a blimp, with no eyes   :lol:

The GC has been packed, constant streams of people, not all for the restaurant, or bistro, or whatever it is..........cake department :)

Mental illness can affect any of us, at any time and goes largely unseen. Good that your Nephew is close by, but, as you say, he has obviously tried so many times over the years, to help, but has not had much success.

I pray that your Niece can get the help that she needs and accepts it. It can be a long process, working to a goal, like coming to see you, even for half an hour. t4591 t4591

Now, did you do your homework for your counselling? I am sure you did. Is it helping in any way? Pain is such a difficult and personal thing to manage.

Hi to everyone else. Toni, I hope you have had a nice day, scattering seeds in advance of rains. Barbara has been doing the same thing. Out little patch at the front needs another cut, but we are leaving the few dandelions, for the bees, as there is little food for them at the moment. We have seen quite a few butterflies already.

Sleek was over to watch SYTTD Lancs, on a loop, with Mother Glitter Sparkles. They certainly cast a good sleepy spell, I was out like a light, for nearly two hours    almost unheard of. t115006 t115006

I hope Carol is ok, I think we need to get the bus out and form a search party :? :? :? I am sure I saw her in the enchanted garden, gathering some hours in a huge wheelbarrow t115006 t115006

Well, time is passing quickly, have to be up at silly o clock this morning, as Openreach are coming between 0800 and 1300
Phone and internet have been fine, since they said there was a problem with the line   Typical

So, I will love and leave for now. Lots of sparkles and love to all t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591 t4591 Everyone take care. XXXX Aidan

Hi Joan. You are right never a cross word on here :)

    Aidan
I LOVE pecan so pass me one of those....ta! Might need a shower afterwards though  AHA! I can try staying in the booth then my hair will look lovely????maybe not....

I've taken Lucy to work (the bank job at the residential unit by Charley's nursing home) where she is shadowing this week.

Then Tesco while I was out so feeling rather ahead of myself. ( a bit smug to tell the truth  )Going to make some mushroom soup for later and some sweet garlic cloves I love them and haven't ever made them myself so today is the day!!! I love the way you don't get garlic breath with them, but no idea why :?

The funniest thing about warmer weather is people getting their white legs out (and young lads their puny little chests) when its not hot enough  But your mum is right people can get bad tempered and mad.

Not as mad as what happened in Sri Lanka. Charley and her GF have decided they are not bringing children into this world. Violence and climate change, starvation and suffering :( WICKEDNESS :x :x :x

You are right to leave the few dandelions until they have flowered but chop before they seed

Sleek is full of it! She so loves SYTTD Lancs she and Tosca nipped over this morning to look at the shop in reel lyf. Permission was given by Hermione so long as it was early with thunder a strong possibility :D Sleepy spells are getting more effective I think

I am so very impressed with little Tommy's French. I know it's far from purrfect, but the boy is trying so hard. Mrs D is doing really well. They were all practising on the crystal ball last night did you hear them shrieking?!!

I hope openreach are nice and early and you get a lot of the day free :)

Barbara well done rearranging the garden I hope it's lower maintenance. Your son is good to help you sort it out .

Wedding photo of you and hubby please!!!

Aww that's tough on your niece really tough she ought to be entitled to some financial help suffering like that :? hopefully mind will help. ((()))

Hope you got the homework done ok and counselling goes ok.

Kath Sleek and Tosca were thrilled with the unexpected fishy lattes you sent over to them. They had them watching Gok :) They were more than happy to help out any time.

I hope today is ok and you and Chris are not too achy. I'm sure the choc ices were worth it :)

I did see the royal phots he is adorable. Expecting to hear any day about Harry and Meghan's baby's arrival t4591

Well I do hope our Carol is ok sending ((())) to her as life has run away again for her and some for mig too ((()))

    Love to everyone

I'm not surprised at any awful thing that happens in the world today, so I hope you don't mind me sharing this passage from the Bible with you.

2 Timothy 3 v 1-5 "3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

Joan, the choc ices were very welcome as my Sjogren's Syndrome causes a wretched dry mouth. I can't even lick my lips. It feels like I've got a mouthful of gritty sand, my eyes are the same. I think it's so awful whe folk stare and are so judgemental of those who are disabled. We have so much love in this group, it's a pleasure to know you all. t4591

Toni, Sleek and Tosca were more than welcome. They are a delightful pair. k040.gif
    g010.gif

Aidan, I've scoffed 1 or 5 of the sticky pecan buns, now I'm just about to stat on the gorgeous Italian Lemon Cream Cake thank you very much. I think I might keep a couple of buns to take to the hospital next Monday.

    Sweet potato and Quinoa salad
    Ingredients
    1 sweet potato
    1/2 cup dry quinoa
4-5 cups arugula or greens of choice
    1/3 cup yellow mustard
    2 tbsp maple syrup
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast optional
    Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment or a reusable silicone mat.
Peel and cube sweet potato. Place on the baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, turning halfway.
In the meantime, cook the quinoa according to the package instructions.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, maple syrup, and nutritional yeast (if you don't like nutritional yeast, just leave it out.)
Assemble your salad by topping the greens with the roasted sweet potato, quinoa, and maple mustard dressing. You can eat the salad warm or cold.

Afternoon to all, bright and sunny here, despite the weather report saying thunderstorms and the radar saying no rain at all  :? work that one out

Hi Joan and Sue - oh yes, people are forever falling out, not happy unless there is some big drama going on. It is such a waste of energy.
No, we don't fall out on here. So many forums end up with a slanging match - cannot be doing.

Dad is ok thanks, we keep a close eye. He has been out with B, to get some shopping. I stayed at home. He came back for a bite to eat and a coffee, then B walked back round with him. He will be fast asleep in his chair within 10 minutes.

Hi Toni, pecan anything is fine by me too :) t4591 I had to have a shower, they were rather sticky, to say the least

Did you blow dry your hair in the booth :o:o:lol::lol: Sleek said you have been back cowmbyng it :lol::lol:

I hope Lucy enjoys her new job at the care home. Good to shadow someone for a while :) t115006 t115006

You were ahead of yourself. Soup and sweet garlic cloves, sound yummy, with no after breath :? :?

I was in front of myself, with Openreach arriving by 0830 nothing wrong with the phone line, nothing wrong with the internet, no problems with anything      He checked everything, inside and out, then down at the box, on the park, (which is as old as time itself, the new fibre box is in the village)
Everything is stable he said - I said, don't include me in that statement  :lol:

Off on his way he went. Gone by just after 9.

B went into town with Dad, did the shopping, then back here for lunch. Dad was a bit vague, otherwise ok.

There have been some lilly white legs on show this past week   Some things are best left covered in my opinion  :lol:

I don't blame Charley and her GF for not wanting to bring children up in these terrible times. The planet cannot take much more destruction, it is on the verge of not being able to recover, from man's destruction. Not content to destroy the planet, people destroy lives with indiscriminate evil. What a legacy to leave. Very sad.

Mother was shouting at me from half seven this morning, obviously just back from nosing at the Wedding shop where they film SYTTD Lancs.
They were out very early doors, there was no mist to gather on the way, just Sahara sand and lots of pollen, plus pollution, in the air.

The sleepy spells are working well at the moment - must be a new spell, from one of Mothers ancient books. t115006 t115006 :animal_busy:

Yes, there was shrieking, in French, on the Crystal Ball, Tommy was being encouraged by Mother, with his pro nunci ayshon :?

More lessons at siesta time, via the gate, brooms are offline with Hermione whittled about the storms

Hi Kath I don't mind you sharing the passage from the Bible and how true it is all becoming. :? :?

You keep up with the choc ices, sjogren's is horrid. They did think I had it, but decided it was side effects of the pharmacy I take on a daily basis

It is a huge pleasure to know you too, we all look out for each other and are concerned, as civil people, who can see beyond the end of their noses. t4591 t4591

5 buns, well done you, I was good and only had 6, before I was so stuck up with treacle I could barely move  :lol: I rolled into the booth and pressed start.

Hospital - Monday :?: :?: - are we booked in for the cloak? I can always make fresh buns................

Thank you for the lovely salad, it looks wonderful :)

We have just had a shower, first drop of rain for weeks. I bet Beatrice is covered in sand and pollen

Hi Barbara - hope you are ok keeping the thoughts and prayers going strong t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591

We need to get the puskins to look for Carol, on the crystal ball, just to check in and see how things are :? :? t4591 t4591

Oh Kath!!! That is terrifying to read isn't it? So much of it is true

What can we do though us little people? Our best, I think; try to be kind and helpful to others look after nature our environment things like that. Be aware of our own faults I try to do that, but it's not easy is it?

Sleek and Tosca are a good pair aren't they? Sleek copying Tosca's ways and learning from her. She at least respects her elders t4591

That salad looks lovely I reckon even Paul would eat it!

Aidan isn't it great being ahead of ourselves like this!? I am about to preserve the new village planters Can I manage with cookie dough ice cream biccy in one hand? Of COURSE I can!!!

I've had a word with Sleek about carol - she asked whether we had checked facebook? She also says the 'new' sleepy spell is in fact one of Tosca's very old spells from one of her Hogwarts exercise books!

Indoors on the crystal ball for now until Hermoine is happy. Sleek keeps checking on her broomstick - most disappointed!!

The cloak has got something in for Monday yes...

We are having sunshine and showers I hope it hasn't washed away my grass seed  :? Or Barbara's :?

Hi to one and all - pleasantly cooler this evening. Some welcome rain earlier on. t111055 Two rumbles of thunder, that was "the storm"

All we can do, is our best, Toni. The passage that Kath posted was spot on.
I must say, I am unsettled, my psyche is very alert at the moment :? :?

Sleek and Mother are a good pair, they compliment each other very well, just as Pepe and Sleek did. Mother has taken on the role of wise sage, who is passing on knowledge and wisdom. Sleek has taken on the role of carer and protector t4591 t4591

I hope all went well with the preservation of the village planters. Of course you can hold a cookie dough ice cream cake in one hand, :D if there is any spillage, it is quite biodegradable t115006

Sleek and Mother found Carol, via Tommy cat and Jerry cat, who went out and peeped through the windows, all is well..............phew.

The sleep spell is indeed, one of the ancient learnings, from Mother's early schooldays at Hogwarts. She said I could look at the book, but not open it  :?

    il_570xN.859261272_6ru0.jpg

I think Mother has had a word with Hermione, so the brooms are working again. If there is a storm brewing, a gate will open for them, to go straight home, safely. t115006

    Cloak, Monday, Kath, yes..........

I am sure your grass seeds will germinate and not be washed away.

Well it is good to know you are ok Carol, we were all getting a bit dithery. I know, we should not worry, but we do.
No vanishing down black holes or spirited away, thank goodness, we don't like black holes, they eat planets for breakfast
Look forward to catching up with your news, when you have caught up with yourself...........  I will send some spare hours and pop them in your purse. t115006 t115006
Some pictures of your GGD's will be lovely to see. :)

Hope the MS group goes well.

Well, time is vanishing at this end too. I started writing ages ago and have had three potters already.

Hi to everyone in and about.

At home day, no great plans. Leaving lots of love and sparkles to all. t4591 t115006

For a minute there I thought we were having samosas for breakfast Aidan!!!Plum turnovers! one of our 5 a day thanks :)

That was kind of Mother to sort out with Hermione Sleek is much happier this morning and understands about the gate. She was stroking her broomstick and purring t4591

I love the ancient spell book it's gorgeous! You can almost smell the age of it and the power.

Those Plum Turnovers are super Aidan, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches. Thank you. Sunshine, showers, chilly, then warm. Woke up at 4am to loud voices outside. Looking out there were torch lights here and there. Don't know what went off - don't suppose we ever will. This afternoon TWO DNs came out of my neighbours house with medical packs! We are living in a really weird place, and it can be very scary. a010.gif

Afternoon to all - bone dry here, not quite sure where the storms are - ah, I see, south west.

Awake from 6, Mother ate so many "sweets", she was  so that was a nice wake up call
Then she was moaning because there were not many biscuits left

So, rather tired and very ouchy today, fybro me thinks. It can bu---- off. I am officially walking like a Duck, to try and stop my back screeching.  :lol:

At least the cloak picked me up to head off to the QE with you and Lucy. I didn't have time to gather scones, sorry about that Toni. Sleek rang Mother and said Mummy and Loocy where gowing too thu hoss pittle :? :lol:

    I hope it is a 6 month gap now t4591 t4591 t115006

They do look like Samosas - I count plums as ten of my five a day, have to be "careful" with them, say no more. :? :?:lol:

Good that Sleek is happier with her broom back in action t4591 Mother has some sway with Hermione, as a respected elder of Hogwarts.

I am not privy to look in Mothers spell book, it vanishes if I get too close   Mother thinks it hill hairy us :lol:

They all worked well as a puskin team, to locate Carol and find out that all was ok but been very busy.

Tommy had another short lesson en francais, this morning. How to introduce himself and how to greet others, tu if you know them, vous if you are not as familiar.

Was it the creosote substitute that you used? I remember Dad had some, which we borrowed and it nearly gassed us and the neighbours     Not good for the lungs at all, he says, having just had a cig.................. :? :?

Hi Joan and Sue - I am not surprised, at someone giving their pet away, due to them getting a new settee. Some folks are just beyond redemption
A pet is for life, not just until you get some new furniture

Hope you are both ok (((()))) and the doggies too. Take care if you are in the storms path.......... t111055 t111055

Hi Barbara - you are more than welcome to all the kindness possible and as many prayers as we can muster :D:D t4591 t4591

Don't worry about missing your counselling appointment. I totally get the depression, linked to long term pain. I have taken antidepressants for a long time now. They are not magic, but I think they help a little.
She talked you into going next week, maybe that is not a bad idea, with the funeral of your BIL being on the 3rd, the same day as your Brother passed. t4591 t4591
We will be there with you.

I forget the goodies that I leave out, so don't worry :lol: as long as they are yummy, that's all that matters really :)

You had our thunderstorms, leaving us with just a rumble  :lol:
Mr B slept through it though, bless him eh. :animal_busy:

I hope that MIND can help your Niece, how sad that she was so unwell, she could not go to her Mum's funeral and now her Fathers Very sad.

Internet seems to be ok, for now :)

Hi Kath Help yourself to all the goodies, not too many plum turnovers though :? :?

You were awake early, with goings on  Best not to know sometimes..............

Then two nurses with med packs, leaving your neighbours - it's all happening, take lots of care XX

Thank you for the hugs and t4591 t4591

You have a storm and lots of rain...........oh, it isn't fair. I want a storm, stamping my feet now.

Actually, looking out over Pendle the sky is as black as ink   I should be careful what I wish for :o:o

I will help myself to some vegan bangers and mash, lovely, thank you very much t4591

It's a bit chilly tonight - I even pressed the heating on earlier  After roasting last week end :?

I am so glad that Lucy now has 6 monthly reviews, that is great news for all, including the lovely Dr Tim. t4591 t4591 We did cheer, but very quietly, so as not to make Dr Tim jump :D:D:D

The shame, of forgetting scones     there was only tea and coffee in the cloak kitchen...............it won't happen again.

The trip to Costa was very welcome, large Americano, new blend, with an extra shot, please and thank you and is that a chocolate twist looking at me :D:D

Good to meet up again with two of the nurses who looked after Lucy when she was so poorly. She did indeed make it through those darker times. t4591 t4591

Mothers shrieking reached fever pitch, she had been in the bedroom, practising her hill hairy us voice   :lol:

Morning everyone :) another weird weather day ahead I think

Dr Tim did not hear a thing Aidan - I heard the cloak rustling a bit, but not much :) 6 monthly check-ups exactly what I was hoping for yippee! :)

The Costa there is great isn't it? always busy and on the go :D I wouldn't fancy working there to be honest :?

Excuse me talking with my mouth full just eating some of the lovely skillet....mmmmm yum thanks :)

Sleek said she and Mother are going to watch some of 'David's' SYTTDs - they recorded them a bit back. She is coming over with the sweets (on offer at Tesco ATM) while you are sleeping. That is Tosca's job the sleepy spell. Said lady has given Tommy weekend homework (French) already and isn't expecting any dis terb an siz while they are binge watching. His mixing up of his nous, vous and tu was stretching her nerves quite taught  PING!!

The gates will do for today Sleek told me. Peeplz have been silly up on Pendle

Enjoy the T rooms today Aidan I hope you find Dad well and he eats loads t4591

I hope your neighbours are ok Kath. Not sure about mine at all there was an ambulance outside yesterday apparently :?

Ta for the vegan bangers and mash :)

You'll have seen the good news now Lucy on 6 monthly checkups :D

Oh Barbara! You couldn't get out of the counselling? Glad you had the week off though after the last week or so it might have been too much for you!

The funeral is nice and quick just after the bank holiday. YOur bro might be looking down. Shame your poor niece can't go though :(

1st May you and Aidan plenty fo biodegradable rubbish for the next village

Joan that lady did not deserve to have a lovely dog anyway grrr :x I think two more years and it should be all clear for Lucy! :) Thank you for thinking of her.

Sun is shining, but it's quite chilly. Sue, how lovely that you found long lost cousins on FB. Are they close enough to visit you?

Toni, I'm glad Dr Tim wasn't perturbed by my regular trips to the loo. One every 15 minutes I think.

Aidan, I'm sharing the Skillet with Toni before she takes it around to Karis - if there's any left. :? Such unladylike eating habits some of us have, and she's part French too.

I think I witnessed a fly over by the cats, one was screeching and shouting HILL HAIRY US. I think Tommy was just hanging on by his tail and singing "Vew is Hill hairy us lala. Moi is tu frend LALA" Then a gust of wind blew them all oop north and it chucked it daahn. So I ran in and flopped on settee as it's Tesco day.

    Warm Beetroot and Lentil Salad
    INGREDIENTS
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1 red onion, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 x 400g cans brown lentils, drained, rinsed
    450g can beetroot wedges, drained
    1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
    80g baby rocket leaves
180g feta cheese, cut into cubes

    METHOD
    Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook for 2 minutes or until softened. Add garlic, lentils and beetroot. Cook for 1 minute.
    Step 2
Whisk together remaining oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper. Add to lentils. Toss to coat.
    Step 3
Combine rocket, feta and lentil mixture in a bowl. Toss gently to combine. Serve.

Afternoon to all - wet and windy here t110007 t111055 t111055
    All manner of weathers

Glad that Dr Tim did not hear us cheering under the cloak :) I guessed you would hear a rustle or two, there was nearly a mutiny, as we were scone less     :lol:

Thank goodness there is a Costa there. The Toasties are always good and the coffee is quite doable.
The Costa at Blackburn Hosp has had a revamp and is SO much better now.
Always busy, no, I could not work there, I would eat my own body weight in pastries   :lol: that is a LOT of pastries.

I see you and Kath are busy with the skillet breakfast, glad there are several to go at :lol:

The "girls" are waiting for the new series of SYTTD with David, although they have grown very fond of Gok too. Sleek has been over and was impressed with B's vacuuming from yesterday, with the cylinder vac, getting into all the nooks and crannies, where SWEETS and LITTER get to...............   Moi, pas possible :? :? I hear them cry.

I think Mother's nerves jangled a bit, with Tommy reciting his nou's and vou's - overall, she is pleased though. :? :?

We have been to the Ve** for some of Mothers kitten biscuits, so she will have a full supply, to spit and throw :lol:   she can ping them into her water dish with great accuracy, from her days playing Quidditch, she has a very good aim.

Indeed, silly peeplez on Pendle, they warn folks that the weather can change in minutes up there, but, do they listen? No.

Dad was ok, he was umming and ahhing about having something to eat...........managed to persuade him it was a good idea, so he had scrambled eggs on toast, we had our usual cheese and mushroom toasties - I am sure they put a lb of cheese on each one

I hope your neighbour is ok Toni.............was the ambulance for her do you think? Best be sending some t4591 t115006 just in case.

Barbara and I will be out and about in the next village on the 1st May, throwing all manner of bio rubbish, filling the bins to overflowing etc.:lol:

Hi Sue and Joan. Suesday comes round all too quickly. Hope you are both ok and managed to get all you needed in town. The weather is certainly cooler, what a difference a week makes.

I found a school friend on FBook. We said hello, years ago, that was it   :?

Hi Kath, come out of the skillet now................that's better. Maybe a face wipe would not go amiss :lol::lol:

Yes, that sounds like a fly past, with Tommy clinging on to Mothers side car..........shrieking hill hairy us ly  :lol:

Hope Tesco brought all you ordered, with no substitutes :? :?

Beetroot and lentil salad, that's supper sorted, thank you kindly :)

Hi to Barbara - Carol - Mig and all our friends in and about.

    Evening all
Well here I am a day later than promised but blame that on our internet playing silly fools with us last night we kept loosing it.
well what can I say about last week hectic hectic to say the least. after the episode on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr T and the hospital visit I spent most of my time at the hospital. I did have company on Tuesday with Wednesday at the hospital as youngest daughter works in a school and was on Easter holiday. so on Thursday we were very tired. however Mr T felt a lot better so we went to our usual fortnightly church meal this one was a bit different as it was a Passover meal at our pastors house. but still good as usual. Friday we had our usual lunch out I did not meet my friend as she was away. the weather was so nice on Easter Sunday and Bank holiday Monday that we went out after church on Sunday to Richmond, and had a picnic lunch by the River. and on Monday we spent the day in Central London and did a lot of walking to and from famous places ending up at St James park near Buckingham Palace with a picnic lunch. I was shattered after that but 2 good days were had by us both. Of course Wednesday was knitting group, Yesterday I went to Ms group with my cards but it was not a very successful afternoon some times it is sometimes it's not. today we have had our usual lunch out and again I did not meet my friend as I had a dental appointment after lunch as one of the fillings that dentist di before fell out a took a part of the tooth with it, luckily I did not have to pay as it is only just under six months since it was done. Tomorrow we have open morning at church as long as it is not pouring of rain. Wow reading that back no wonder I didn't have a chance to post. don't know how I managed all that.

Well as promised some photos of our GGDs on there holiday last week.
