Oh dear, poor Joan. We love our technology but when it goes wrong GRRR!!! t4591 t4591
Yes Barbara, We spent the time laughing at our MAHOOSIVE Wood Pigeons. Sometimes when they fly over they scare me to death. Sleek called them EEgels but they are more like Vultures.
Toni, I'm glad Sleek managed to magic the poem up. They can be a bit erstwhile sometimes with minds of their own.
Butterscotch Breakfast Bread, absolutely necessary part of our diet. Almost as good as cake. Talking of which ......
Raspberry Ripple Battenberg
175g Stork with Butter
175g caster sugar
175g self-raising flour
3 eggs, large
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the raspberry ripple
85g fresh raspberries
A few drops of pink food colouring
For the icing
100g seedless raspberry jam
400g ready to roll icing, pink
Line an 8” square tin with non-stick baking paper. Pleat the paper in the centre to form a divide in the middle of the tin. Cream together the Stork with Butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 2
Beat in the vanilla extract followed by the eggs one at a time beating well after each. Fold in the flour until well combined.
Step 3
Transfer the cake mixture to the prepared tin, splitting it equally either side of the divide.
Step 4
Crush the fresh raspberries through a sieve to make a raspberry puree and discard the seeds. Stir through a couple of drops of pink food colouring so the puree is a vibrant red/pink.
Step 5
Using a spoon create hollows in the cake mixture in one section of the tin. Spoon in the raspberry puree and swirl through the mixture using a skewer. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until springy to the touch and a skewer when inserted comes away clean.
Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool fully.
Step 6
Once the cakes have cooled trim the top and edges of each using a sharp serrated knife. Divide each in half lengthways to leave you with 4 equal sized lengths of cake – 2 vanilla and 2 raspberry ripple.
Spread each piece of cake on all four sides with raspberry jam and assemble alternating the vanilla and raspberry ripple portions.
Step 7
Roll out the pink ready to roll icing on your work surface, lightly dusting with icing sugar to prevent it from sticking.
Roll it out into a rectangle slightly longer than the length of the cake and wide enough to wrap around the cake completely.

A sunny afternoon to all, not too warm, a cool breeze, which is just fine, with the dryer going and the shirts all pressed m0150 m0150
Hi Toni, we do look after one another, in many ways, you are quite right. Even from a distance, we know when there is something amiss or one of us needs a bit of moral support t4591 t4591
Tosca was most intrigued with the eye drops and while we were out of the room, she was in there, taking pictures of her retina's.  Sleek was not for looking at ALL :? :?
I made sure I looked at the photo's (bearing in mind my eyes were completely blurred) - I could not see any mini blood vessels that had ruptured............
I have lost count on how many slices of the caramel bread I have eaten   :? :?
Look forward to hearing where your friends have been up ere in Yorkshire, well, we were in Yorkshire, years ago, until certain labour councils moved the boundaries
Mother has been over the see the poem on Sleeks wall, she is most pleased t4591 The sparkles are very highly charged, leaving trails of little lights and glitter.
They are lovely bags, Mother went under her blankets to her store room and brought it out for me to see. Silver does not give them out very often t115006 t115006
Granddad came round for his croissants and coffee lunch. Mother was shrieking at him, telling him about the rainbow droplet, how impressed their guests were and also shouting because it was snack time.
I am really pleased that the elderly man is doing so well and the younger man too, well, very young man, if he is the same as Paul and I :? :?
A lot of things are genetic. High cholesterol, or hyperlipidaemia, that I have from my Dads side, plus heart disease from his side. Bones, well, I am sure there is some link along the way. Mum's side is mainly alzheimers, with 4, out of 6 siblings being affected during their life. :?
But, you cannot do much about your genes.
Bills machine is a Janome, the very same model that they used on the sewing bee. He is thrilled with it. He had already made a man bag, using the other cra---- (ooops, nearly swore), machine. Just the magnetic clasp to attach. It is in Harris Tweed, really nice. He is amazing with his crafting skills -
just give me a cleaning cloth and I am happy for hours
Hope you have a wonderful time at the gallery t4591 t4591
We need friends who say lots of yes's negative breeds negative and transfers very quickly................... :?
Hi Barbara - I am glad things went well at your BIL's funeral, it is such a stressful time, draining to say the least.
The young Lady who officiated at the service, sounds lovely. It makes a big difference when it is personal and meaningful. I know what you mean, very much so. Good that you could video things for your Niece. Bless her, I was worrying about her yesterday.
So the wake was up 2 flights of stairs  - oh my. I would have been with you. t4591
Wonderful that everyone came down to sit with you. Good tocatch up with family that you don't see so often. Weddings and funerals are very much family catch up times. t4591 t115006
Don't worry, my hospital visit was a quick in, drops in, pictures, out again. Sleek could not look, she doesn't "do" eyes :? :?
Bill is very pleased with is new sewing machine, leagues apart from the cheap one he bought from Ebay............. :? buy cheap, buy twice..........
Is Niamh stopping over tonight? Skating tomorrow? Roast dinner too
Oh dear, you are having trouble with your iPad Joan. I hope it is nothing too troublesome.
Thank you for keeping us posted, always good to know that you are both ok and getting out and about. Lots of ((())) to you and the doggies too.
Hi to Carol, I do trust you have had a better day and Mr T has found his Mr Happy book Men, we are a strange breed, excusing myself in that, of course
Hi to Kath - are you less sleepy today, not sure what weather you have had, but it has been very blowy here t110007 one of the Acers has blown over three times already
Hope you are ok, not troubled with ouches t115006 t115006 Bush babies will pop over, just to check. Jammie dodgers needed.
Well, time I was moving I think. Almost 4pm pills
Let me go find the cake I made earlier :? :?

Hi to all
I think your post went on at the same time as mine Kath...........I looked and though, I don't remember that lovely cake
Mahoosive wood pigeons, yes, they do grow to a size, we have them in the woods here................of course we do Aidan, we are surrounded by woods
Mother thinks they are eenorrmuss - Sleek does chase them on the broom, but Mother is not too keen to be ducking and diving, shakes her old bones. :? :?
Raspberry Ripple Battenberg - ta mi duck, I will eat it with pinkies out, after nearly choking mi sen on the strawberry cream pie  I forgot to breathe in before I face planted.
I hope you enjoyed the art exhibition Toni - All quiet on the puskin front. Sleek had a natter with Mother, but they are both resting now, it has been a busy time, entertaining their guests :animal_busy: :animal_busy: t115006 t115006
Barbara I am sure you will be shattered and need some rest time t4591
Hi Carol I hope the atmosphere is a little more convivial at home and Mr T is happy now he has his laptop back. t4591 t115006

XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning!
I think it's village clear-up day today :? Samosas again maybe? No I'll be lucky!!!
That frittata was YUM Aidan thank you very much. I
I also had the heating on for about 3 hours last night  Where's the m0150
Now Sleek hadn't shown me her bag from Silver, but they look lovely! and they sparkle of moved? I think that explains the lights at Sleek's ickle house windows!!! She'll be shuffling things about again and knocked into it I asked her about the pigeons in the woods and she said she can unclip the side car so Tosca doesn't get bashed about like a pinball!
I wonder whether Dad (AKA Tosca's Grandad) understood all about the rainbow droplet etc?? I suspect not
Wow a Janome! Go B!! He's made a bag?! He is just so clever isn't he? I wish I had some talent
Years ago when my Dad died I started having chest pains. Looked into very thoroughly at the time and one thing they did find was that I have two things in the blood which make it more likely to clot  The Haematologist said it increased the likelihood of a stroke  I had forgotten about that till now.....
Pom was outside the gallery painting so that passers by would be enticed over Kari bought a small metal sculpted snail!! So sweet!! It now has a red dot on it and when the celebrations are over at the gallery (all month  ) Pom will bring him back to me to pass on.
I am very pleased tp hear the photos looked ok (Sleek and Tosca also checked them over - Sleek is ok with retina pics just not actual eyes - and pronounced all well and good) even if your vision was a tad blurred.
Hang on what's that? Custard tart t4591 The booth is ready you say?...…………
Sleek is a very resourceful pusskin Kath Tosca thought she ought to have magicked the poem up first go
She just read your post and said "not Eeegulls? Vuchersz?!!"
Oooh now look at that bettenburg! Thanks very much as Aidan would say...pinkies out!!
Sue thanks for letting us know. Ipads are great aren't they? Until they don't work
My parents had a nip of whiskey (shudder!!) every night too Barbara!! I am glad all went well and that everyone came down to be with you! Of course they would - the best of company!
It sounds to have been a lovely send off and the lady who did the service will go far with that attitude too t4591 Good idea to video it for your niece!
I remembered to check on the neighbours bedding plants (growing on in their conservatory) all watered and baskets too
I am so pleased they are away and one son DIL and 2 Gkids are nearby so even better t4591
Right I'd better get some clothes on!!
Love

Well Toni, as Joan said, we are all good at summat and you are good at being a loving and caring friend, and for making us laugh. So now Sleek thinks the wood pigeons are Vuchersz spoken like a pusskin from Francais.
I've just visited me dad's community club webpage. He says there's a phto of him and his pal somewhere, but can I find it? Not a sausage. But there's a photo of some members in a chippie in Matlock, eating battered fish as big as shark. Me and Chris could share it and still have more left behind. Just look!

Maybe we should have some later eh Aidan? Those chips look yummy too.
My ouchies aren't too bad thanks Joan. I have been feeling rather rough these past few days. I think it's because I'm reducing the Pred from 5mg day to 4mg a day. It suddenly dawned on me this morning. I can actually open my peepers today. Hooray. I was brought up to put my rubbish in my pocket or my bag if I can't find a waste bin.
Choux buns with salted caramel sauce
Ingredients
Serves: 6
For the salted caramel sauce
150g caster sugar
200ml single cream
80g salted butter
1 teaspoon fleur de sel (or other fine sea salt)
Choux pastry
4 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons caster sugar
60g salted butter, cut into cubes
70g plain flour
2 eggs
For the filling
200ml whipping cream, whipped or homemade creme patissiere
Method
Prep:40min › Cook:1hr › Extra time:30min cooling › Ready in:2hr10min
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C / Gas 6. Lightly grease a large baking tray.
Salted caramel sauce:
Place 150g sugar in a saucepan over low heat; cook, without stirring, until it starts to turn golden brown in colour.
Heat 200ml of single cream in the microwave for 10 seconds. Add the warm cream, 80g butter and salt to the caramel, stirring constantly. Continue to cook for 2 minutes until smooth. Set aside to cool at room temperature.
Choux pastry:
Heat milk, water, sugar and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it starts to boil; remove from heat and beat in flour with a wooden spoon until the dough starts to come off the sides of the pan. Add one egg and mix. Add the second egg and mix until smooth.
Use 2 tablespoons to drop 12 buns onto the baking tray. Bake for thirty minutes in preheated oven, then turn the oven off but don't open the door; allow the choux buns to continue to cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the buns from the oven; transfer to a cooling tray and allow to cool completely.
To fill the buns; make a small hole in the side of each bun with the tip of a nozzle; pipe whipped cream or creme patissiere into the hole.
Individual servings: Place one choux bun flat side up on a dessert plate; spoon 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce on top and sandwich with another choux bun. Drizzle caramel sauce on top and decorate the edge of the plate with dots of caramel before serving."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." A sunny afternoon to all - it has taken a while to brighten up, still a cool breeze, which is fine........

No, Granddad would not understand the rainbow droplets, or the Nymphs, Enchanted garden, Silver and the other Unicorns, the Sanctuary, broomstick flying............etc. He would think I had lost the plot :? :?  he might be partially right :? :? :?
The Janome is in pride of place in the living room. In fact, we can hardly move, there is so much crafting, jewellery............and many other projects
Two things in your blood that make it more likely to clot. Did they mention LDL, HDL, Total cholesterol levels ? Would be interesting to re visit at some point, for a repeat blood test.
Sounds like the gallery visit was well worth it, with Pom outside, doing some lovely painting. A little metal snail, very cute. So the display is on for the whole month
Sleek would not like eye surgery then she might well faint. Retinal pictures were ok, that's good. I was looking through foggy eyes. I did point to one red area and said what's that - she said, you should know - ooops, yes, the fundus, if you don't have one, you don't have a retina. :? :?
I see you found the strawberry custard tart and the battenburg - we really are spoilt rotten.
My Dad used to have a little brandy, in hot milk for medicinal purposes :? :? Perish the thoughts, I would need medical care, if I tried it................ t2507
Plants, oh, I forgot, water the plants.............you did, phew...........
It is naked gardening week, or some such event   I won't inflict that on our neighbours

Hi Kath All of us are good at something, very true.
We used to go to Matlock quite often. Dad and Mum had friends who lived up in the hills. Those fish and chips look very good indeed. Shame you could not find a pic of your Dad on the community page.
I am glad you can open those peepers today - reducing meds like prednisolone, is not easy, if you have been on it a long time. It is quite likely to make you feel pretty yuck. Some extra ((())) and sparkles, just to help a bit more t115006 t115006

Evening all
Its has been quite chilly here the last couple of days and we have had lots of short spotty light rain showers. Went to church this morning and as usual came home and did dinner. then since dinner I have had a very lazy chilled day. Heard yesterday that our usual smiley Rubie is poorly yet again this time with tonsillitis and thrush according to the Dr she has really gone through it since the start of the year.
Aidan I was very impressed at how easy it was to change every thing over to the new mobile, thankfully it went so smoothly it only took me a very short time to sort it out. thanks for the sparkles and the Mr happy book. oh I can assure you anything that doesn't go how Mr T wants it straight away can make him grumpy. as for my friend most of the time I let what she says go completely over my head. yes a quite weekend is always a bonus. dissertation on Quantum physics not sure about that :? :?
Toni Men indeed they drive you crazy at times  mind you I was very amused on Saturday when after almost a week of me being very quite after the niggles with Mr T, he said to me at lunch time on Saturday are you in pain (usually that is the time when I am very quite) I answered no just pi...d off with everything and everybody. knowing he would say does that include me which he duly said and my answer to the was yes including you. I think he got the message he has been a bit better since. it wont last long I'm sure.
Rubie would love to be in the case with sleek getting up to mischief together
Barbara so glad the funeral went well and you were happy with it as I have said to Toni Mr T is a bit better but think it because of what I said on Saturday lunch time it made him think about how he behaves sometimes without even realising it. My friend is very very thick skinned as the saying goes. You can say what you like and she is still the same.
Kath Cor that fish was some size. looks really tasty though.
I must now have a potter as I have been sitting down far too long and their is some drying to come out of the machine and I don't think it will do it's self.
love and sparkles to all t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Hi to all - cool evening, outside that is, roasted in here with the tumble dryer busy away
Hi Carol - it has been bitty weather, a few spots of rain, then a clatter of hail, then sunshine. Cooler than the the last Bank Holiday for sure.
That's good, to have a lazy afternoon at home, after Church, then lunch.
t2507 poor Rubie, poorly again, I will send some extra sparkles to help her feel better very quickly. t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591 Horrid when you need antibiotics for tonsillitis, but have thrush at the same time. Bless her.
Changing over phones is quite simple these days, be they i phones or android. Most things are stored on "the cloud" and that remembers everything. I think Google knows more about us than we know ourselves :? :?
I hope the Mr Happy sparkles do the trick, alongside you saying that you were less than pleased with one and all. Let's hope that the mood lifts t4591 and lasts
So your friend has very thick skin, we will have to come up with a plan, Barbara and I are good at them, they have worked well in the past
Mother and Sleek want to help with the eenor mouse fishes
Hi Toni - how was the village clean up? All went well and I am sure everywhere is immaculised. Sleek said her village was very kleeen and pritty :?
Are all the scarecrows still standing - I assume they need "tending", to keep them tip top.
Hi Barbara - hope you are all ok, sending a top up of hugs ((())) and sparkles to everyone.
Hi to everyone else, in and about.
B went out to get some more Cotswold stone chippings for Dads garden, I think that is 22 bags so far  He sorted them all out, weeded and spread out the chippings and Dad didn't even know B was there I think he had been nodding :animal_busy:

You are braving the GC then? Very good I hope it's not too bad for you :? Pastries for breakfast? Thank you very much indeed - Nu-nu!!

Vulcherz must be chased and Mother must not be bounced about she is parked up safely having a little doze :animal_busy: Dad would not understand about the cats and their japes, but Auntie Kari does and so do Tommy Thumb's Mum and Dad.
I thought the fundus is how they measure how pregnant you are externally
I would like to revisit my bloods now I'm getting older  I agree. This was in 2003 I remember little from 2003!!
Poor little Rubie Carol  Ours were ill a lot at that age really it's such a shame they don't understand that it's not forever do they . I hope she feels much better soon t4591
I can imagine little Rubie stroking Sleek and loving her. Sleek would be very patient with her
Mr T jolly well deserved t be told its really not fair on you, but it looks as though you being quiet does work
Kath!!! Heaven knows how anyone could eat that fish on their own!! It would take 3 of us surely!! Shame you can't find the pic of your Dad though :?
How did you know Sleek sometimes speaks in a French accent? so does Tosca too at times. The bigger the bird the better, but so far she has not touched my pheasants t4591 who are getting FAT!
How many choux buns are left??? I have some clotted cream??
Is the booth empty? Aha I see it is.....thank you t4591

As Chris always says (about fish and anything else for that matter) "If you're gona have one, you might as well have a big 'un" But I don't like the way he looks at me tum when he says it! But even he couldn't manage a fish that size, mind you, he wouldn't say no.
Carol, poor Rubie, Emily used to have Tonsillitis every Christmas, and so did I actually. With Jonathan it was Croup, which used to worry me as he was never allowed to have the whooping Cough vaccine as he had 5th day fits as a baby. Mind you, so did Marie Claire and they gave her the jab. I also had 5th day fits and so did the twins. What a family!!! The worst point was when 4 of my children had Chicken Pox, one by one, withe me getting it last, at the age of 30. Jonathan hadn't been born at that time, but surprise surpise, he had it at 30 as well. t2507

Afternoon to all - it was sunny, now looking more like rain..............which we need, a plenty.
t4591 I see we have a new Royal Baby Boy - congratulations to the Duke and Duchess t115006

Jenny Jenome remains in pride of place I think she will be found a more suitable place, soon - ish. :? :?
Sleek took Mother to see her Village. It is looking gorgeous after many hands to the mill, to make it spic and span. Sausage butties, veggie ones too, perfect
No, there is not a hint of naked gardening on my agenda either. The park, nor the town, is ready for such a shock.
Sleek went off to chase Vulcherz this morning, before taking Mother to her village. They did pop in to see Mrs D and Tommy, sharing a fish latte with Mrs D and a baby choccochino with Tommy
Sleek said that fessunts are very pritty culerz and cannot fly very well. :? :?
Fundus can be used for several medical terms, including measurements in pregnancy
Of course Auntie Kari and Tommy's parents understand about the magic that is seen and unseen, you have to be a believer, or things just don't work t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591
I think a re visit of your bloods is well worthwhile, on your next GP or nurse visit, or you can ask your Dr if you can have a run of routine bloods done, please and thank you. If not, I will pop down and take them. I have umpteen certificates for phlebotamy and IV additives.
2003, errrrm, no, cannot remember much about it, apart from speaking lots of French
We got to the GC at the right time, one of our fav tables, within half an hour, people were waiting for seats. Brunch was very nice and then some chocolate orange fudge cake, oh my, I did not want it to end and made it last as long as possible

Hi Joan! I think we were posting at the same time there!!
Kath blimey 5 day fits! I think they can run in families can't they? Such a worry even though the outlook is good still scary.
I also used to get tonsillitis several times a year not very often now though
Thanks for the cake it looks lovely....will get us some cream...
Thanks Aidan I hadn't heard the news! I love a new baby. A little boy too
The sewing machine is called Jenny then - good name
Sleek said Mother's spell is for peace and harmony in the village and for the flowers to grow BIG!! She said Tommy can't have cattiene yet but loves his chococcinos
The fezontz are very pretty and have small hedz too :?
Well done getting a table at the GC. We went to our favourite little Tea room too and got the last table ourselves! Orange fudge cake  YUM!!
Hmmm you must be worrying without realising it about the cardio apt (yes you are in the diary) 3.30. I hate all things medical myself so can sympathise. Sleek has Pepe's Drs bag ready ((())) t115006 t4591 t115006
Right best get on dinner to cook!! It doesn't cook itself does it?!

Hi to all - a drop of rain, at last, smells nice and "earthy" outside Plus fresh cut grass, as B was mowing earlier.
Hi Barbara - don't you worry about being awol. We knew there would be things to sort out and help your Niece and Nephew with the house clearing. It is very sad, when they have lived there for all their lives and clearing the house has so many different emotions with it. t4591 t4591
You are more than welcome to the extra hugs, always necessary for us all t4591 t4591
B is a one man craft shop there is no stopping him. He is very pleased with his new man bag, it had its first outing to the GC today.
We love the sewing bee, they do remarkably well, in the short time they have to do each task.
I read that the Duchess gave birth at the Portland Hospital, not at Frogmore, as people thought. There seems to be a lot written about the "feud" between Harry and William, not sure if it is just the press, making things up as they go along....................
Roast to the door was a let down, oh no, that's not good. Trying to do everything on her own must have been difficult, if there were a lot of orders to get through. Hopefully standards will be back to top notch next time.
Your hair will be all preened and primped, very nice too, just in time for the cloak to whisk you away to meet my new Cardiologist
Have had a quiet evening here, pottering about and reading some of the news.
Toni I hope you can have a bit of a rest, after all the keeping up with the village immaculisation. Fancy people throwing all their McD rubbish out of their cars, en route to the M6.
It is just ignorant, nothing less. Sleek and Mother said they will cast a spell of "return to sender" t115006 so that any rubbish people throw out, will appear on their beds, at night two fold
Sleek came over at siesta time, it took them a few goes to cast a sleepy spell, so they could eat sweets galore and watch SYTTD, plus read all about the new Royal Baby t4591 t4591 Sleek was wondering if it made Mother all broody, she soon got an answer   NOT ON YOUR NELLY
Sleek has Pepe's Drs bag all ready for my appointment. I think I have everything ready. Not sure if he can ask for my notes from the other BMI hospital ? He will have all the letters that my old Consultant has sent to my GP, which is like war and peace anyway
Hi to Carol, Mig, Christine, DD, SW, Toady, Elizabeth, Mell, Kerrin and all.
Time is flying past, so I will away and potter.
See you all later - Lots of love and sparkles to everyone. t4591 t115006 t115006 XXX Aidan
Welsh Breakfast Cakes (not sure what we have with them :? )
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Oh AidanThose breakfast cakes were yum! I've had mine with a lovely proper free range runny egg between 2 Others might have bacon/sausage maybe?
I would take everything you think you might need today for the appointment for sure. War and Peace may well be your notes! Hopefully he'll be the type to listen to YOU that's the best thing too. Cloak is all fresh for us all and the fridge stocked up.
I love the idea of the 'back to sender' spell!! Oh I do! Good thinking Tosca and the smiley was perfect!! Saved me doing this Or was that Barbara in rollers from the hairdressers :?
:animal_busy: Two sleepy spells were necessary? See above cardio visit. Tonight should be better.
Sleek said they enjoyed their litter tennis This morning they only went to a fishy latte at the Nymph's retreat then back to yours for some telly. Too cold Tosca said. :animal_busy:
I love the smell of rain and of freshly mowed grass t4591
Barbara I am so sorry the roast was a bit naff Very disappointing indeed
Your poor niece and nephew bless them. Such a tough job I bet they appreciated your help very much. Will your niece stay there on her own now?
Statins....my cholesterol is ok I think it's the stickiness of the blood.
Ah well
Woo-oo! To Joan hope you are all ok?
Love to everyone
Toni xx0 -
Oh WOW, definitely 2 slices of fried bacon and 2 fried eggs on the Welsh breakfast cakes for me please. Yum. Thank you Aidan. I read the feud was because William has been a naughty prince with a friend and Neighbor of Kate and him, which made Harry angry. Hmm As you said, is it the papers grasping rumours?
Yes Toni they definitely run in MY family anyway. One uncle and aunty, me and two of mine. Then my eldest son RICHARD (who didn't have fits) I wouldn't let him sleep alone until he was 1 year old, as I used to wake up in the night and he'd stopped breathing. As a single parent I was scared silly. And his two children have a mental dsability (don't know what it's called) Oakley isn't too bad, he has a good job etc. But Willow has learning difficulties and will always have to live with her parents.
I rather fancy Milo for the new Prince's name. Rather different I thought. His RoyalHighness Prince Milo of Sussex.
We went for a toddle to the Co-op and sat on the benches with ice-creams. A Robin sat on the back of the bench just behind me, then he flew away. I didn't see him, but Chris was on the opposite bench, so he did.
Oh dear Barbara, the poor lady having to cook all that food alone. And how sad for your family emptying the house. Enjoy your hair styling.
Poached eggs on avocado & feta toast
Ingredients
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 large eggs
1 avocado
50g feta
1 tsp chilli flakes
juice ½ lemon
2 slices of sourdough
Method
Fill a large saucepan with water, add the vinegar and bring to a hard boil over a high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat so the water is simmering, then use a spoon to swirl the water into a whirlpool. Crack in both eggs and cook for 2 1/2 mins.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mash the avocado, feta, chilli flakes and lemon juice, and season well with black pepper. Toast the bread.
Pile the avocado and feta on the toast, then put a poached egg on top of each."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hi to all
Just a very quick hi, to say thank you for being under the cloak this afternoon, at the Cardiologists. t4591 t4591
Lovely man, very personable, he has written down all that is wrong....................I think he ran out of paper   ECG done, good chat. Was in early, out in good time, home in time for T.
Sorry it was 100 degrees at the BMI hospital
I heard rustling and saw a stethascope appear, Sleek wants a cardio one now, as they are verry speshall
Catch you later. Love and Sparkles to all t4591 t115006 X XX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening all..
Aidan I was there under the cloak..just made it in time..so glad you like him and got everything noted...bet you are shattered.. t4591 t115006
Thankyou for the welsh cakes we had those in one of the LLandudno hotels we go to..first time ever..
Bill is so clever doing all the different crafts I had trouble concentrating on one at a time :? and his man bag had an outing to the GC maybe he could ask for them to be his outlet..
Our neice and nephew are selling the house..I am so glad that OHs sister bought it..it was her idea instead of renting. at least its some money for them both...not sure were she will live yet..
Toni not sure what sticky blood is but you must keep a check on it..we dont want you poorly..
Kath I have never had avocado and keep hearing about how good they are for you..it must have been so scary your baby having fits..I was in and out fo hospital with them up to 4 years old..cant think what they used to call them it was in the 50s :?

Evening everyone
Hi Kath I reckon the royal brothers are fine really it's all just stupid rumours.
It's so hard being a single parent anyway I was from when Lucy was about 4 Charley 7 and when I had back surgery...how scary too Richard stopping breathing! You must have been exhausted  I love the choice of names; Oakley and Willow so lovely. I am sure they will both be ok with having good parents.
Paul was a breath holder!! I told his mUm he still does it if he can't get his way
You must have been nice and still for the robin to sit behind you so close t4591
I love avocado and poached eggs...thanks very much
Aidan Well done. We all liked the new cardio very much Sleek has been on catazon trying to locate a cardio stethoscope a speshal one! Ah yes it was her ordinary one (Pepe's) you saw she was practising on Tosca. She was being very patient and tolerant bless her. :animal_busy:
We were all eating our scones with rhoddas t4591 The cloak put the aircon on blimey it was HOT!!
Barbara the blood clots to easily hence the stroke risk, but I think my cholesterol is ok :?
Must water neighbours plants tomorrow....
Very good that the house was owned it will give your niece and nephew a good start. Hope niece can find something she feels safe in though :?
You left your doggie bag in the cloak Sleek will pop it over with Tosca first thing. I suspect they want to have a nose around they've already been to Kath's you see
night all
Tomorrow I am being a BKV judge  Oh the power! Not ours or the next village obviously!

Hi once more, after a much needed siesta - the puskins sleepy spell worked a treat, until the pouring rain woke me about 8. It was siling down t111055 t111055 t111055 , good news for the garden and the rivers.
You were very welcome to the Welsh cakes Toni, free range eggs sound perfect.
Mother and Sleek are very pleased with the back to sender spell t115006 t115006 quite hill hairy us, when the n'er do wells, throw their trash out of the cars, into Sleeks village, not on, at all.
I think that purple lady was Barbara in rollers, she was off to the hairdressers today..............
It was a tad chilly for Mother, t110007 hence the short visit to the Nymphs cafe, a nice warm mackerel latte soon warmed her paws. :? :?
Thank you, one and all, for being under the cloak for my Cardio meet and greet.
We were early, the Hosp is set in huge grounds, gorgeous they are, mahusive mannor house, with many extensions to convert it into a private hosp. This was a lovely hydrangea bush, just had to take a pic of it
We dallied a while and looked at all the wonderful trees, squirrels chasing Magpies
https://photos.app.goo.gl/y1cqf1TgVNUAmpX27
Busy, lots of cars, but B found us a spot only a few yards from the outpatient entrance.
We went in and registered, the heat was like a moderate oven
Dr McD saw me early, which was great. He had a good look at the notes my GP had sent, I let him peruse all my results, scans, imaging, from the hospital in Toulouse France.
He was most impressed that I had been cared for there, on two occasions, he said it is one of the leading cardiac centres in the world he knew one of the Consultants who was on my notes and is going to a seminar, led by the same Dr, next week, how amazing................I digress..............sorry.
A lovely young lady came in and did my ECG, she was nattering while Dr was writing. "have you had an ECG done before" - "More than you can count" said the Dr
He listened to my ticker, did my BP, said he was happy to leave things as they are at the moment. If I get more angina then I can contact his secretary and get to see him as soon as.
He was talking about how things have changed, even in the time since my last angiogrammes, he is a champion of interventional cardiac catheterisation, they can now unblock arteries, that they could not do several years ago, with new techniques etc. Good to know..............
My poor mobility and crumbling bones are as limiting as my heart condition, with COPD on top, just for good measure    as we agreed, keep on pottering. Go back in 6 months.
I did see the curtains rustling round the exam couch, I think Sleek was about to switch on the Echo cardio machine   Mother stopped her, just in time..............close call.
You did right to have the AC on, I was ready to melt.
Water plants, you must water plants..................... t111055
Hi Kath, your choice sounds yum, with your Welsh cakes. Glad you enjoyed them.
I bet the press got a rumour or two about Harry and Wills, then it becomes Chinese whispers and a mountain appears from a mole hill.
I think both of them have had their "moments" of indiscretion, in the past.
You did have quite a time with the children, with Richard stopping breathing at night.... no wonder you were scared. Now his children have some mental disabilities. Bless them. I just adore their names, truly. t4591 t4591 Silver is sending a shower of sparkles t115006 t115006
Prince Milo of Sussex, yes, I like that name too. I think we need a little ditty................:) Pretty please...........
A robin came to sit on your bench, how fabulous. I bet he thought there may be treats. They do become very tame. Mum had one that would come in through the kitchen window, to gather the little bits of cheese she chopped up for him. The blackbirds used to tap on the window, when they were hungry.
We have robins, wrens, dunnocks, blue tits, coal tits, song thrushes, blackbirds, lots of sparrows, who love our hawthorn hedges t4591 We are very proud of the hedges that B planted. Safe havens for birds.
Thank you for the eggs, avocado and feta toast - perfect.
Hi Barbara, thank you for being under the cloak, always appreciated when friends are so close by. t4591 t115006 He is a lovely Dr, very pleasant, down to earth. I was super tired and ready for siesta time. :animal_busy:
I think I have had Welsh cakes, I cannot remember to be truthful. I have seen them in Sainsb, must try them one day. You will have enjoyed them on your hols in LLandudno Any plans for another trip this year?
I don't know where B comes up with all his ideas - I would be at a loss and thinking the washing needs sorting
He did ask at the GC about selling his jewellery, but they never got back, despite saying how lovely it was - their loss.
What a good thing that your OH Sister bought the house, it will be money for both of them, still a worry though, about your Niece being so unwell with her social phobia. t4591 t115006
So Paul sill holds his breath when he cannot get his own way Toni
Good luck with the BKV judging, is the village a rival for your potential second award?? Just wondering. If so, then be VERY picky t69044 t69044
Hi to Carol - hope you are all ok. Some extra sparkles in slippers, as required t115006 t115006
I seem to have rambled on for ages, with various pottering times in between. So, I will away and fuss for a little while.
Big Px order to pick up at the Drs, will have to go to the T rooms while we are so close by.

Morning! It's piddling down!! and I am Best Kept Village Judging!!! Going to get soaked I think
Aidan white hydrangeas always look lovely that one is an excellent specimen.
The spells our cats are making are very good of late you off to sleep in a flash and 'return to sender' most Hill hairy ****!!
Today was too wet to take Tosca out again so Sleek went out on her own locally just litter patrol (pawtrol). Expect her later to watch some SYYYD (recorded ones) and flick litter (play tennis)
The cardio certainly knows his stuff and the right people too!! I bet he mentions you to that chap if he gets to speak to him!
Sadly we are judging 'large' villages only!!! So not us nor the next village which is MUCH larger than ours anyway and has paths!
Right wish me luck this will be a learning curve
Love to all
Hope you don't have this rain Joan!
