As Tosca says Aidan (daddy 2) Very Scandinavian. Are you playing Abba songs now (she said hopefully)? In the 1960s we called them Gaity boxes. Mum had them all over the house, Very useful for her nick nacks. And she loved flicking over them with her little feather duster.
Oh no Toni, it was a different world back then. I've seen old adverts from 1939-40s saying such and such ciggies were good for your health (cough splutter puke) :?
Hi Sue, we're always happy on here. In spite of our various health problems. I bet Lexi and Pepper keep you both cheerful, bless them.
Oh No! Barbara got stuck without her walking stick. Hope you've recovered from the shock and embarassment. t115006
I had a card from Clarence this morning. Saying He and Florence were having fun racing up and down the Gates, but couldn't find any Rams and what are Mars? I knew he'd misunderstood - but they are loving the countryside and the trip to Spidworld was a real treat. They took some leaflets to hand out, advertising their trayning skule for spids. Quite a few signed up for it. Rosie will be thrilled, so will Carol.
Vegan Apple Crisp
DESCRIPTION
This vegan apple crisp is totally divine served warm with some vegan cream or vegan vanilla ice cream. It’s deliciously flavorful and perfect for the holidays.
INGREDIENTS
For the Apple Filling:
8 cups Peeled and Cubed Granny Smith Apples (2.2lb/1kg)
1/2 cup (100g) Brown Sugar
1/4 cup (31g) All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For the Topping:
1 cup (125g) All Purpose Flour
1 and 1/2 cups (150g) Rolled Oats
1 cup (200g) Brown Sugar
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
3/4 cup (170g) Vegan Butter (weighed then melted)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel and cube the apple and add to a mixing bowl with the brown sugar, all purpose flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice and vanilla extract and toss together so that all the apple pieces are coated.
Transfer the apple mix to a 9×13 dish sprayed with non-stick spray and smooth down.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Prepare the topping. Add the all purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and cinnamon to the mixing bowl and mix together. Then add in the melted vegan butter and vanilla and stir in.
Use your fingers to spread the topping over the apple layer, crumbling it with your fingers until it is evenly spread across the top.
Place into the oven and bake for 50 minutes until the top is nicely golden brown and the apple mix is bubbling up the sides.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with vegan vanilla ice cream or vegan whipped cream."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

You are more than welcome Toni, we can share the spuds with Auntie Kari too
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather, with a lovely breeze m0150
Glad you all enjoyed the visit to the surgery yesterday, it was nice to show you around, both upstairs and downstairs, then to the treatment rooms. They do quite a few minor ops there, removal of skin things, like I had and still have   Sutures for wounded peeples, the Drs are very hands on and the Sisters are all very nice.
The steroids have kicked in now and my knee feels ok today, wonderful to have the pain masked for a while. Have to be careful not to overdo things though, steroids are excellent at covering things up.
Mother said that Sleek was coming over at siesta time, to visit Mothers new Scandi lounge I love the wall unit, it sits perfectly well.
There will be acres of room behind Mothers cushions, she has gone for the same "look" in her lounging area.
GC was just perfect. Dad had scrambled eggs, B and I had what we call a Beth special, three hash browns, two eggs, in a white muffin...........with loads of mayo...........droolworthy Beth always looks after us so well. Bless her t4591
I had a slice of double chocolate fudge cake and Dad had ferrero rocher ice cream..............wish I had had that too............I tasted it, oh my, it was amazing.
We do need to know all about Barbara's wedding
Cigs were so cool, I think 90% of our class of nursing students all smoked. We could smoke on the wards then, in sisters office and the day room on some wards, the staff dining room, etc etc.
It's ok to pile drink, to the rafters, as they do in the supermarkets, but the cigs have to be hidden, in case anyone is tempted. Bit of a joke really.
Hi Sue and Joan, hope you have had a lovely lunch out, it's great having it prepared and all the washing up done. I know we pay for it in the price, but it is worth it.
Love to both and to Pepsi and Lexi t4591 t4591
Hi Kath, I love ABBA, but B is not a great fan, so it is tennis at the moment, not Dancing Queen
I will be out with my static fluffy thing, to do the very pared down nick nacks, carefully placed, no clutter, it is lovely, gives the room space to breathe.
We do try our best to be happy and up beat, with the occasional rant.
More spid-- have signed up to keep us free from 8 legged monsters, that's good to know Rosie will be pleased and very busy with her bookings
Hope any ouchies are kept to a minimum - just in case, some (((()))) never go amiss t4591 That goes for all of us
Thank you for the apple crisp, gorgeous, ta mi duck.
Hi to Barbara - hope you are not bruised or otherwise ouchy after your tumble in the garden yesterday, some extra ((())) t4591 and love to all
Carol will be off and away with Mr T, to see family t4591 t4591 a mini break by the sea, will charge the batteries.
We both went out into the garden this afternoon. I pottered and watered everything (handy when we can use next doors hosepipe). B cut the hawthorn hedges, front and back, I pulled a few unwanted plants out, otherwise known as weeds, from pots and the raised beds. Lots of admiring of the Wisteria flowers, that are taking there time to open............more pics will appear, when they do.
Bird bath all clean, the sparrows queue up at tea time, for baths
Time I was making tea and getting ready for a sit in comfy chairs, prior to siesta.
Will call back later. Love and Sparkles to everyone t4591 t115006 t115006 XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I hope Sue and Joan enjoyed their day out and meal - no cooking no washing up!
Kath well done Clarence and Florence getting young sp****s signed up
Those apple treats are so lovely! Kari has shared mine.
'Cigs' were healthy???? No!!
As Aidan says though booze is allowed and just as deadly!
The GC sounded wonderful especially the Beth special. Just enough for me!!
Dad did well too
We enjoyed seeing the whole health centre....all the rooms and 2 floors! So very pleased you ate having a pain free time with your knee. Steroids are wonderful but as you say a bit of a fraud letting you think you can do anything.
Sleek loves Tosca's suite ....a suite of rooms all Scandinavian! Its immaculate apparently. Spotless. She has a cleaner  Mrs. Darcey has arranged another high tea for Sunday afternoon while Auntie Kari is out.
Hoping most of the village planting is done...my back says enough!
Love to everyone

Hi to all t4591
Carol and Mr T, I hope you are safely in your hotel, having arrived on your mini break with family and for the Christening t4591
Have a wonderful time
There was little research to do with smoking, when you think back a way Toni. Films made it kind of glamorous, most people who fought in the wars, all smoked, which I cannot blame them one bit.
I could not believe the amount of booze, mountains of it, as soon as you walked in the supermarket - ok, so there is a bank holiday - does that mean everyone has to be pickled
I have often said, you don't get many admissions to A & E, having had 20 cigarettes, but, there is major bed blocking, every night, for those who have had more than 20 shots of booze.
That is not to condone smoking. He says, smoking five minutes ago at the back door
Ok, hush now Matron. :? :?
You would love the Beth special they only do it because we are some of their best customers
There are two practices at the surgery, about 20 Drs in all   more than the average small hospital It is a dispensing surgery, family planning, treatment rooms, podiatry, bloods and more besides. Mother and Sleek were most intrigued at the peeples vets
Knee is doing ok thank you. Nicely masked by the steroids. I will be careful though.
Glad Sleek likes Mothers immaculate Scandi rooms. She does have a cleaner - I think it is one of her spells, a bit like Mary Poppins, she can keep everything super tidy in a wave of the wand t115006 t115006
High Tea on Sunday, Mother will be there, like the Dowager Countess in Downton. (they are filming for the movie, cannot wait).
Mrs Darcey always puts on a very delightful afternoon tea. t4591 t4591
Enough planting now, it is just at the angle to cause the most amount of pain - some magic squares will be in your shoes and slippers, one in the shower too, so mind the sparkles going off t115006 t115006
Some for Charley too t4591
Hi to Barbara, hope you and yours are all ok. Is Niamh stopping over, with it being half term now. Laptop in hiding of course
Hi to all our cafe friends, in and about.
Time I was having another potter.
Dad will be round this morning, he needs his hair cut, then croissants for lunch Some "stuff" to take to the recycling centre, verge needs cutting...........it's all go.........

Planting IS at exactly the 'wrong' height Aidan you are so right! have chucked all available meds at it have my slipppers on and am feeling far more myself now Will have a chilled day. I am enjoying having Charley around more you know and she did say 'Mum what's with the shower it's all pretty and sparkly'?
Let me at that brekkie mmmm…..and at least 5 of of our 5 a day
Busy day though for you Dad's hair cut (well sweeping for the Saturday boy!) recycling centre etc
Sleek said that Mother goes like the 'Ladie off th tellie Mummy' to all high teas. She takes her 'card' with her and presents it to Tommy (being both butler and waiter, (his choice) then eating with them too) before being admitted. The usual will be on offer from caviar, tuna and salmon sandwiches, as well as mackeral cake ( ). The usual posh coffees from Mrs D's cattimo machine. A chococcino for Tommy.
No of course we don't condone smoking although as you know there was a time when you were odd if you didn't smoke! Booze is on the rise and not only a killer (various cancers and cirrhosis as well as liver and kidney damage) but turns people NASTY :x
It's always pushed on bank holiday weekends
I bet Barbara has Niamh visiting as it's half term now. Are children's lap tops a bit more robust than ours then? I hope so. :?
Carol will be happily visiting the family bless her having a great time and making memories t4591 t4591
I hope all is well with Joan and Sue and the doggies. Fingers crossed the sun is shining too m0150
See Kath later all being well.

It is true Toni, planting is always going to get your back, we need all plants to be at waist height
Hope the meds and the magic slippers are working. Feeling more yourself is fine, we have enough of feeling like a different person to who we actually are :? :?
Charley will be fine, at home, with lots of t4591 and support, plus magical sparkly showers t115006 t115006 I saw some glitter, near Mothers sweet dish in the bedroom - I don't remember scattering glitter there :? :? t115006
The breakfast bake is just brimming with our five a day - perfect, all sorted, let there be cake
Dad rang, to ask if we were going shopping, no, you are coming here for a hair cut and lunch - am I? anyway, he pottered round and feels better for having a hair cut and being fed and watered
His SOS thingy was alarming me at 545 this morning, then 6am - false alarms. Quite an awakening at that time of day !! I did get back to sleep until Mother was shrieking like a banshee
Visit to the tip, will be done tomorrow, we are pretty much pooped today.
Housekeeping has been in and the beds are all stripped, washed, made and ready to fall into. :animal_busy: :animal_busy:
A couple more pictures of the lounge The love seat / sofa, with accessorised cushions of course. B's chair is on the right and Mothers ottoman is on the left.

The far wall - obviously the tv wall what was the console table is now the tv stand, B has papered the front of the drawers, they look really good.
The other oak trolley was my Mum and Dads, I think they had it as a wedding present in 1958 - it has served thousands of cups of T and cakes on it, over the years, with Mother at the wheel t4591 t4591

The ercol sideboard at the other end of the room. again it was Mum n Dads, used to house Mums best dinner and tea sets (now full of "stuff) but it looks super tidy and clutter free
https://photos.app.goo.gl/SwPHCfzhiDYNgA477
Mother does have a silver purse, with her cards in it. She always announces herself if it is for a formal high tea. She will wear her Chatelaine too, lots of little magical items on it, from days of old at Hogwarts. t115006
Tommy loves escorting the guests into the room and then serving drinks and food.
Mackerel cake sounds "interesting" Caviar and salmon and some Cods Roe. Mother is quite partial to it.
They will have a wonderful time I am sure. Lady Glitter Sparkles is resting at the moment, having been busy in her Scandi house.
Booze is a huge problem in the UK, I know people have always had a drink, I used to be amongst them. But the waste of police, paramedic and hospital staff's time, goes into the hundreds of millions a year.
Most don't realise the damage it does to your body, plus the fact that a binge drinking session can kill your outright :? :? True, it makes peeples nasty, very nasty.
Hi Joan and Sue - glad you didn't enjoy the ciggy, even though your parents smoked. Mine never did, so I was the rebel I guess
We have rain on the way, so badly needed, our river is all but dried up, you can easily walk across it, if you were nimble footed.

A little rain earlier this evening - t111055 only enough to dampen the ground.
Hi Barbara - Guessing right that Niamh was with you, being half term
Of course we were worried about you, t4591 going over in the garden. It shakes you up and makes you all unnecessary :? :? Some extra sparkles for your ouchy wrist and fingers. t4591 t4591 Getting up can be a real trial   Sitting in the walk in centre for hours on end, would be more stressful than helpful, :? unless you think there is something very amiss.
My Mum used to take Metatone tonic from the chemist, oh it tasted horrid :? :? they always say the worse the taste, the more good it does you
I am sure we will believe you when you tell us about your wedding. One of those days in life were everything can go without a hitch, or can go spectacularly wrong :?  You both turned up, which was the most important part of it.
I am sure B would soon have your decor all sorted, he could do "changing rooms" - he would love it. Thank you, we are pleased with how the lounge is looking now. Much better with everything pared down and simplified.
Mum would be very happy that we are showing off her furniture to its best t4591
Tosca's love seat is so cute, only Mother goes on it, to get to Daddy's chair, with visits behind the cushions of course.
You were there in spirit, under the cloak My knee is doing ok with the steroids, nice to have less pain for a change. I will be asking for the jabs more often. 3-4 times a year I think is the max, as they can degrade the cartilage (it's nearly all gone anyway   ).
Niamh was skating on one leg, way to go Niamh............  we had best not try it Barbara
Hi to Carol, hope you are both having a great time with family t4591 t4591 love to you and yours

Rain on the way here too today thank goodness!
Poor Kath ((())) Sleek has been over taken your obs - you may have felt a gentle paw on you from time to time. Luckily she's gentler than Pepe was nothing tuck in ears etc
She has brought two bush-babies and left them with you for ongoing treatment.
Aidan that cake went down a treat thank you very much I felt ok, but well it was there and you know me  pinkies out!
The L room looks fabulous (I can only post 2 pics too or cosgans used to be able to post three prior to one or other forum update ) how wonderful to have some of your Mum and Dad's old furniture such memories I have some of my parents' too t4591
Imagine B papering the front of the table drawers! It works so well and I LOVE the t4591 seat! Exactly as Sleek described. I think I can see where Tosca goes in! :animal_busy: They were indeed in there yesterday after knocking Tosca''s Daddies out Sleek has added notes to her spell book and been practising. That's why there was glitter by Tosca's bowl. She is trying to make Tosca younger or so she can live forever......bless.
High tea is today I think Sleek is all ready and it's not until this afternoon! Sleek said the Chatelaine is special from Mother's days at Hogwarts (she stayed on as student teacher for a while you know?) and means 'kat- sumthing in French'
Tommy is read and has two outfits one to 'buttel' and one as a gest. He doesn't need his high chair anymore just two cushions on the chair.
Good job you can get off to sleep after the false alarms isn't it? BUT no-one can sleep after cat-er-wauling
Dad is all smart now and fed bless him. He is getting rather forgetful. Such a good thing you are so close by.
How is your neighbour doing? The one with the heart issues I mean.
Ah yes I was slightly bizzy with my own flowers as was Pom with hers although she popped over and we both did our back exercises on our grass. Then had to get up again
Sleek is working on a spell to lift the ground up so we can plant at waist height :?
I'll have a cinnamon rolls please Aidan....thank you very muchly
Nu-nu!! help me!!
Barbara! Blimey that sounds sore I hope you feel a bit better today. I bet OH felt guilty. Now could you have climbed up onto a chair if one had been nearby - people often can? If so get OH to bring one out and sit on while you get upright. If not then he shouldn't feel bad better up and in with a sore wrist than stranded out there
Go Niamh!! She is a little star
Charley is doing better thank you. I think it's ok to say now she has had a rough fortnight split from her long-term GF. 4 years and they lived together. She is back home now being spoilt by me and doing better. She was absolutely beside herself though I was up many nights with her bless her.
When you get time the wedding story would be lovely. t4591

Afternoon to all - very breezy, but pleasant temperatures. The rain has stopped, it was SO welcome, more please t111055 t111055
I see the rain has arrived with you Toni, as you say, it is very much necessary, we have had weeks and weeks of dry weather.
Mother was keeping an eye on Sleek, who was keeping an eye on Kath, during the night. Sleeks paws would hardly be felt, unlike Pepe who would have all the instruments scattered everywhere, charts and drips and the like............bless him.
The cake was delightful, very settling, ginger is good when you are feeling a bit sickly, which means you can have more than one piece and still feel better :? :?
Thank you, we are very pleased with the L Room, B has done a great job
Doesn't it work well, on what was the console table The love seat is just the cutest thing. You can see where Mother and Sleek go now, into the seat of many rooms.

High tea has been enjoyed, Mother has just come back, I could hear her chatelain jingling away.
Much fussing behind the cushions, putting her best faux fur shawl away and her walking cane. Very Downton.

Sleek was saying about you and a nayber doing bendy's on the grass Getting up, now, that's a totally different thing. Chairs are good, I have had to used them quite a bit, when stranded in a heap
I am sure it has been a terrible time, with Charlie being greatly upset by the split up. Mum being there during sleepless nights, is the best thing, without a doubt t4591 do you think there will be any chance of a reconciliation ?

Hi to all - quite cool this evening, but I spy the warmer weather coming for next week end m0150
Hi Barbara - glad you are not too achy and your ouchy finger is not getting any worse - Sleek might well be over later, to give it the once over with her mini scanner :?
I like to keep us all nourished with cake and goodies. Kath always finds wholesome recipes and foods, so we have a nice balance
I had to put the cheesecake on, they have it on the cake counter at Costa now, I was partaking in a slice the other day and it is well worth trying t4591
We can go together for our knee jabs, I am sure my GP or your GP would not mind if they had to do two in a row. Bit like playing darts.
Definitely keep your phone with you on any garden visits
Niamh did the hoovering and didn't drop it on the floor, way to go Niamh, what a star she is t4591 t4591
I tried a Woodbine once, only once, goodness me they were strong - didn't put me off, but I think I went a bit green My Uncle smoked at least 60 Woodbines a day   :? :? There was always a fog in the front room
I hope Carol and Mr T have had a lovely day with the family and at the Christening t4591 t4591
Hi Toni - Sleek said the rayn will do the gardun gud Mother has been resting this evening, :animal_busy: after her soiree in the afternoon. They must go into a different time shift, as she said hours had passed, when I only missed her for a matter of moments  t115006
It's all magic.
Sleek wants one of these
Mother is not so sure :? :?
Hi to everyone else, in and about.
I presume we are off to the GC this morning, then shopping. No other plans as such.
Lots of love and sparkles to all t4591 t115006 t115006 Take care XXXX Aidan
Omelette Muffins
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Lovely! Omelette muffins will get the day off to a good start thanks Aidan
Sleek really wants one of those skateboards to get into her ickle house!! She's so exited!
The high tea went really well Mrs Darcey hosted perfectly as usual. Tommy buttled then ate just on his cushion. Mother said next time he can try a teaspoon of her latte!
Sleek was sick on return (overindulged  ) and when we dropped Kari off after the pictures (we saw Rocketman) Mrs D didn't stir at all from her bed (Kari's new chair!)even though we both were shrieking with laughter! :animal_busy:
Yes the room is fab the console table perfect and Mother's secret suite of rooms look just like and ordinary love seat with cushions :? Ah Mother will explain again about life will she? Poor Sleek has been trying to make her live furrever and get yunger. Bless. t4591
The cheesecake was delectable and you are quite right just need a little (a large!) dollop of cream t4591
Sleek has checked your finger Barbara and doesn't think it's broken just deep tishew injery apparently will take a few weeks to heel.
She is very gentle yes unlike Pepe who was all for sticking instruments into the wrong places like up your hooter!
I don't think there will be a reconciliation between Charley and her GF sadly, but they will stay on good terms once the dust has settled. People are already asking Charley out including one lad  I don't think somehow.... at least we laughed
Not sure a chair will help get you up then we must think again. Telephone is a good start though at least you'd be found quicker!
Well done Niamh with the hoovering and not dropping it afterwards
Charley will be ok she has us all to look after her thanks ((()))
Kath I hope you feel even better today. Sleek was only over a couple of times she thinks you're on the mend. Obs charts are all fine so she'll leave you with the bush-babies for now t4591
Curried veggie pastie yum ta v muchly
Rain was much needed yesterday I hope a little more is due though :?
Joan it's a good job you and Sue had each other loosing your parents so young! :? ((())) thanks Charley is doing better went out with friends last night!

Still not quite right I'm afraid. I don't know what's wrong with me. A touch of the trots. Nerves all on edge and feelings of fear and anxiety, I jus want to cry (fat chance with Sjorgrens) I don't know if it's because I'm trying to wean off Matrifen. I think I'll add the 12mcg patch. I have the 25mcg on already.
mushroom veggie burgers (vegan)
INGREDIENTS
For the Mushroom Burgers:
16 oz. assorted Mushrooms (Portobello, Oyster, Shiitake, etc.)
½ cup Mashed Green Plantain (see notes for substitutions)
½ cup Walnuts
3/4 cup White Beans, drained and rinsed
1 tbsp Tamari
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
1/2 tbsp Poultry Seasoning (see notes for substitutions)
7 oz. Hearts of Palm, canned (about 3-4 medium “hearts”)
½ cup Flour (All Purpose or a GF Blend)
½ small Yellow Onion
2 cloves Garlic
1 cup cooked Brown Rice
Optional Toppings: Arugula, Pickled Onions, Mushroom & Garlic Aioli
Mushroom & Garlic Aioli (Optional):
½ lb. Assorted Mushrooms (Portobello, Oyster, Shiitake, etc.), roasted (see instructions)
2-3 cloves Roasted Garlic (or 1 clove Fresh)
Juice of ½ Lemon
1 cup Whole Cashews, soaked
¾ cup Vegetable Broth
½ tsp Salt, plus more to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
For the Mushroom Burgers:
Roast Mushrooms at 450F for 30 minutes. Don’t turn the oven off, we will use it again! (Note: If you are making the Aioli as well, roast those mushrooms at the same time, then place them aside after roasting)
In the meantime, peel the Green Plantain and cut into small pieces. Place in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for 10 minutes, then drain. Mash using a fork.
Pulse Walnuts in Food Processor until they are fairly small, but not a flour. Set Aside.
Puree the Beans, Mashed Plantain, Tamari, Nutritional Yeast, and Poultry Seasoning together in a Food Processor. Then, add the Mushrooms, Hearts of Palm, Flour, Onion, Garlic and process until slightly chunky.
Add in Rice and Walnuts, then gently pulse to combine.
Transfer to a bowl, then use around ½ cup of the mixture to form large burger patties or ¼ cup for smaller sliders.
Place the Burgers on a greased or lined baking sheet and bake at 450F for 15 minutes, then flip and bake for another 15 minutes.
Let cool for 5-10 minutes on the tray before removing. Serve as desired. These burgers will last for up to 7 days in the fridge, or one month in the freezer.
For the Mushroom Aioli:
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and process until thick and smooth. Serve as desired; leftovers will last in a sealed container in the fridge for up to one week."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hi to all on a sunny, then very wet day - m0150 m0150 t111055 t111055 t111055
The river has some more water in, which is good news and the gardens are most grateful t4591
Hi Toni, eggy muffins are just the thing (vegan egg for Kari of course), to set us up until coffee and cake time
Sleek has been over and they have been through catazon and catgos, to find a suitable skateboard, one that is self propelled   I think one is on order They have also played mini Quidditch with fresh litter
Mother has been through some of the laws of nature, as sympathetically as possible. Sleek understands, although she was a little upset at first t115006 t115006
I am sure Tommy will enjoy his treat of a teeny weeny latte, just to break him in gently, he might not like Pilchards in lactose free hot milk
Oh dear, Sleek overindulged and was icky, bless, she didn't say, keeping some things unspoken. (she doesn't know that Mother can see her through her crystal ball, but never said a word).
So Mrs D was not for stirring from "her chair" - probably thought she might loose her spot Despite much shrieking from peeples
Thank you, we are pleased with the new decor etc. Dad decided we were having brunch at the GC, we got there just in time, the world and his wife arrived soon after.
We had Beth's specials and Dad had his scrambled eggs.
They had chocolate orange fudge cake in again, so I had to try some
Then we went through to the interiors section, which is huge and crammed full of the most gorgeous things, room sets, kitchens, bedroom sets........etc etc - we treated ourselves to a new vase, perfect for the lounge
It reminds us of Easter Island. I am not allowed anywhere near it when polishing

If Charley and her ex can remain on amicable terms, then that is something I guess, far better than being arch enemies - and people are already asking Charley out, t4591 one lad as well
Hi Joan and Sue - apologies, getting the names of your doggies mixed up,  Pepsi and Lexi, that's right, I hope :? :?
As with so many things, you read that something will do you good, then on the next page, it will do you harm, so you can never win really
Thank you for the (((()))), the same to you both as well. We had a nice brunch out, at the garden centre, then spent about £50000 in the interiors shop, (in my dreams that is )
Hi Kath, sorry you are still not up to par. The trouble with drugs like fentanyl and other strong pain relief, they have some rather unwanted side effects. Anxiety and feelings of fear are quite common.
I get them with Pregabalin, Diazepam and Tramadol, for some reason. Distraction often works as does some quiet breathing exercises. If you are trying to wean off the meds, then that could be another reason.
Has the Dr said to start to come of the patches? It is a slow process if so. Leaving a lot of (((()))) t4591 t4591
Thank you for the vegan burgers, wonderful
Hi to Barbara - hope you and yours are all ok and your ouching finger is improving. Sleeks report was very thorough t4591 t4591
Hi to Carol Mig, Today, DD, SW, Christine, Elizabeth, Kerrin and all our friends.
Time I was pottering again, plus it is pills time again

Hi to all - it went pretty chilly this evening, had to put the heating on low
Hi Barbara - yes, the garden and the rivers have been breathing a sigh of relief, for some welcome water. It poured down on and off all day.
So Pepe was there in spirit, peeping over from Rainbow Bridge t115006 t115006 he would be on the case, if there was something medical to involve himself in. deep breath..............
Glad your phone is now attached to you I won't leave mine far from me.
We were both gym bunnies then if they could see me now.........or maybe not :? :?
The choccie orange cake is just awesome. I could happily wade my way through two pieces
Glad you like the vase, I keep going to have a look, without touching of course. Dusting today, so I will leave that area for B to do - we don't want any "ooops"
I can just imagine Sleek, or Mother, whizzing along on a skate board, straight to their ickle houses
Do you remember the sweety cigs, with the red sugar tips, I loved them. imagine the pc brigade now, if they were for sale in the shops
I think we are all straight now, well, the lounge is and the hall, my bedroom too. B's is in need of a fuss, everything seems to have migrated into there
The pub you go to sounds lovely, proper food Is it far from where you live? how is your friend who was in rehab and your neighbour?
Hi Toni, hope you are all ok. Did you get some more rain t111055
Keep meaning to ask after Rev Delphine and your lovely neighbours t4591
Sleek was over at siesta time, they cast a sleepy spell, then ate sweets whilst watching the last of the SYTTD Lancashire t4591 t4591 Not sure if Mother didn't nod off too, but Sleek doesn't mind, with Mother being an owld laydee t115006
I love the pictures you have put on FB Carol, with your family and GGC t4591 you will be home today, safe and sound with no delays all being well. Look forward to catching up on the news.
Kath I hope you are feeling a bit better today t115006 t4591 Sleek and Mother have made a magic potion for you to drink
You might have a glow about you :? :? t115006 t115006
Time I was having a potter. Time is marching on to 1am.

Hash Brown Frittata
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
We also put the heating on low last night, Aidan, just for an hour it was chilly! t110007
Hash brown frittata? Mmmmm lovely I'll have one or two (or 6!)
I remember the sweet cigarettes too I loved them. Do you remember the ones which had sherbet in them you could blow through them so it looked like smoke?
I LOVE the vase! Wow!! Just like Easter Island. Be careful dusting and now it's time to help B get his room straight bless him!
We certainly got more rain. Paul was helping Pom 'plant' (cement) the two new planters and she came past. Well after we finished the heavens opened and she was coming back home with her GD so Paul took her home in the van! Bless her she is fine
Yes the girls watched SYTTD Lancs. They do think Gok is funny (they can spell his name too!). How quickly out cats get over being icky sicky eh? If Mother starts to snore Sleek utters not a word just turns the volume up ever so slightly She told me that Tosca can't live furrevr but will be waiting with pepe and cookie and Eric Catona over rainbow bridge for her when the time comes. Yes she was a little teary but Mother distracted her with litter quidditch
I am informed that a skateboard is due to arrive today from catazon and mother is going magic the motor on??
Barbara Pepe is always in Sleek's heart t4591
Thanks yes Charley will be ok thanks ((())) for your son who is half way through a separation. Luckily they weren't married or it would have been worse.
Rocketman was good very sad, but good yes we all 3 enjoyed it. Kari was snivelling!!! He had a rough time of it bless him, but as we know it all turned out well and he has two lovely boys and a husband who adores him as well as been sober for 28 years!
Glad you enjoyed your dinners out
Carol will soon be home now I hope she's had a lovely time and has a safe journey home
Kath thanks for the vegan burgers very good of you to make us them feeling yukky still ((())) I believe one or two bush babies are there to cuddle.
It could easily be the patches I would have thought.
