well..
Saturday we went to a bbq in Richmond, north Yorkshire... Yesterday we took my Aunty to bridlington to spread my uncles ashes...
I got home and thought.. Right, I can get plenty of rest now as all the joints were killing...
You know what thought did right?

About ten o'clock last night my mum rang, they'd left ours in the morning top go back to skeggy.. Dad started with an extreme pain in his lower abdomen. Mum rang the nhs line and they sent an ambulance...
The nearest proper hospital is boston, about thirty five miles away..
Dad was admitted through the night and mum slept in the chair at his side.
Mum rang early this morning. She sounded sooooooo tired.
Dad is on a drip of anti biotics and morphine. They think he's got an infection in his bowel.
Anyway... Who could possibly leave their mum stranded liked that?

So, we drove straight to boston from Leeds.. Got to see dad.
We took mum back home and we are now at the caravan..
Exhausted..
In pain
And, oh exhausted..
:D

Oh dear Tony-sounds like quite a time you're having. Do hope that Dad recovers well, and mum copes with supporting him. The older we get the more perhaps we come to value our parents and realise quite how much they have done for us over the years.

    Blessings

thank you for all of your support.
I also had my ultra sound scam at chapel allerton this afternoon. I tang them up thinking I would have to wait weeks for another appointment. They've fit me in next week.

I managed some sleep at the caravan. I've just brought mum & Janet back to the hospital.. Visiting times soon.
I need some energy please  Lol

I'll let you know how he is.

Good luck to you all, I hope your Dad improves soon. It must have felt wondeful for your Mum to have you there at that moment. I read your post and thought what a huge heart you have in offering all you have despite the fact that you know it will cost you in pain and energy. Superstar status for sure. I know what you mean though, I made a crazy trip to be with my very ill Gran in February and was the only family member who could get to her for hours (we got a blizzard). It was hard, it hurt, it cost me but I'd have done it again the next day for her. So pleased Chapel Allerton were so accomodating - I used to get treated there and they are a wonderful bunch.

I'm sending you big hugs and some happy health vibes to your Dad and yourself. LVxx
Hey little fighter, things will get brighter

    thank you all once again.
Mum rung the hospital this morning, they said dad is feeling better but I'll reserve judgment till we see him. They've been a bit lapsadaisicle...
Off to see him at two o'clock.
I didn't wake up till eleven this morning, thank the Lord for diazepam.. Lol

LV, thank you for your lovely comments.. :D
    I'll post again later.
Oh, and it's glorious sunshine here now, but then it keeps chucking out down and stopping every ten minutes.

    thank you heather.
He's on the mend, they are going to give him some anti biotics and pain relief to take home, possibly tomorrow.
We are back in skegness now..
Just getting some bits from morribobs stupidmarket
I'm suffering like a bugger.. Been having new pains joining in for the last few weeks, heels and shoulders, the shoulders and neck are pretty bad right now.. Hope it's not the arfer spreading  I've enough painful bits thank you very much.
I'll tell the rheumy when I go though.. Oh, had a few pains in my sternum too. Ain't this fun?
    Lol

    Thank you all..

And Val, if you ever go from boston to skeggy again, take the a16 (i think) pounds the road that goes past the front of the hospital entrance and exit.. Much better route hun. You probably went the a52... Dreadful road.

    Heya Tony

You poor thing and your Dad too. At least it sounds like he's on the mend.

This now leaves you ..... So get yourself rested up a bit or else!

Definitely let the Rheumy know you are having more aches and pains but I do think some of them are because you have overdone things lately, although it couldn't be helped.

So here's a big momma hug to help you rest up.

    Fols x
