    thanks Val.

Well. Janet spoke to the doctors at nine. They've done another ct scan after suddenly starting to worry about his abdomen. It's very distended... They're talking possible surgery now :o
So, basically we are back in boston at the hospital. Dad looks shocking. He looks like he's having triplets his stomach is that huge. They've got tubes inserted all over.. It's very upsetting seeing him like that.
They're awaiting the second ct results now. Then they'll decide what to do. He could have a perforated bowel.
We are in the day room with mum.

X to everyone for the concern

Yes, sorry Tony, I forgot you were at Boston hospital. Of course there wouldn't be anywhere to lay down there.
I hope they do something soon, the waiting must be hell.

    Yep.. The waiting is awful.
Mum & Janet have popped downstairs to the vending machine. I think a piece of chocolate would go down nicely at the minute

My thoughts are with you, your Mum, Dad, and Janet, Tony. I hope they've found out what's wrong with your Dad by now and have decided what to do, whether it's surgery or not. It's such a bad time when someone in your family is taken so ill. I hope you will manage to get some rest and sleep tonight.

    it's not good.
They're rushed him to surgery. His bowel is thirteen cm large. They are probably removing a large portion.
He might not survive the op, it's major surgery and his heart isn't very strong.
It probably seems strange me posting like this but it's helping me process things just typing it out. I've tried saying it out loud but it'd not easy.

We are sat in intensive care unit family room.
Dad's sister and husband are here now too. They had come down to skeggy earlier today just to see him.
Think he should be out of surgery soon.

There has been a small light at the end of a bloody long tunnel.
Janet spoke to the doctor on ICU half an hour ago..
They have woke dad up.. I'm gob smacked. Was really not expecting that until tomorrow at the very least.
We are taking it as a very good sign BUT we know he's certainly not out of danger yet.
We are going this afternoon to see him. None of us have slept at all yet.

    Thanks for reading..

Tony, I'm so pleased to hear that your Dad has come through the surgery alright, although I know you will still be very worried about him. I'm sure that he is being well cared for, and I hope he will make a good recovery.
You must be feeling completely drained today, so take care of yourself and get all the rest you can. We are thinking about you all.
