    Hello all the froggies :D hope the 'list of things to do' all went well and no doubt many others (lovely tale stickywicket :) ). Not surprised you had a little wobbly moment during the 'thing' but we won't tell, and well done.

    One nasty member of staff-we can't have that! They can really make you feel small and there is no need. Good for you that you will make a complaint as soon as you can.

    All is indeed very well here. Apart from one thing....one vital essential basic human need along with food and water...if you are 17.......Lucy's phone isn't working!!! hahaha! :roll:

    We are off to Solihull this morning to see and Apple genius to get it fixed so she can keep in touch with her friends ;) and NOT loose irreplaceable photos (including some of friends no longer here).

    Paul is paying for holiday today, site of line is healing up well and Lucy has applied for part-time work at Macdonalds :shock:

    I know, I know, but she really wants to work!!

    Part of me wants her to get it because she so wants to work the other part thinks...WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

    Will keep you informed

    Great news about Lucy and the job.....well.....like you I wouldn't be sure what to think? If I was to say to you "pace" I know I would get told off like I have before :lol:
    PHONE NOT WORKING!!!!!! that is awful {for a 17yr old} :wink:

    Oh dear no phone! Hope it can be fixed there and then and you can save the photographs before they are lost. That would be awful

    Difficult with the job, i know it is so soon after all her illness but I suppose its what Lucy wants.

    Going abroad or staying close to home for the holiday?

    All does indeed sound good. All except for Lucy's phone. It is a disaster for a 17 year old to be without a phone. Hope it is easily fixed and the photos are still there. xx

    Phone down? Noooooooo!! :o Hope the Apple bod can do the trick. The work thing must indeed be a bit :shock: hope whatever happens turns out to be the right thing!

    Holiday booking, oh goody. :D Wishing you all a good Saturday (nearly gone) and a nice Sunday (forecast a bit dull & chilly :? ) oh well I did my best! Love to all xx

    The phone is FIXED!!!

    all working perfectly and the chap who fixed it was lovely too. Just finished studying neuro-science and University, (Cardiff), so had a good chat about the new iphone and it's potential for alerting regarding epileptic seizures in future. (Sorry about the weird grammar there :oops: )

    We then carried on to Paul's Mum's as we were half-way. Blimey Solihull ain't arf posh!! :shock:

    Emma Willis from Big Brother was from there and always says she's from Brum - no WAY is that Brum :lol:

    As for the job - it does seem a bit much, but hopefully she'll cope ok with it of she gets it. There are a few jobs going, but mostly full-time and it's within walking distance from here :?

    Another lovely day, but today will be easier I hope :)

    Toni so glad to hear that Lucy has healed well...and most important to her ..the phone is up and running...I hope all the pics were saved...and the job will help her ..normality what she needs now, and of course a good holiday for all of you :D ...it makes me happy posting this so I can only imagine how you must feel..((())) xx

    Phew, glad the phone is fixed. The i-phone app (I'm guessing it's an app as everything seems to be) sounds like a very good thing. I guess Lucy could try the job out and leave if it does get a bit much for her. xx

    Yes all photos were saved safely thanks Barbara, Joan and Christine :)

    Today I have spent hours on the phone trying to sort out insurance for our holiday for Lucy (Husband and I are sorted)

    Guess how much for one 17 year-old with cancer?

    The only company so far prepared to cover her.....others said no...

    £288.10p :shock:

    Will keep on trying :roll:

    I get refused insurance cover Toni, the only one that will cover me is Flexicov**still expensive but might be worth a look..I am sure you will all get there...xx

    Just dropping by to say hello on this thread instead of the book club for a change! I hope Lucy gets the job - if it turns out to be too much she can always leave. It is good to do "normal" I am sure. Good luck finding the insurance. You all deserve a good holiday! xxx
