    Glad the weather held off so Lucy could go with Paul to the BRISCA meeting. She is doing so well, hope the bedroom wasn't to much hard work!! (())'s

    Sorry I have been AWOL, but we had some bad news about one of the lads who was doing really well. Sadly his cancer is back and back with a vengeance :(

    He does however have a wonderful family and married (at 19!!) his girlfriend this year.

    Lucy is doing really well though and was supposed to have gone to Alton Towers this afternoon with Charley, but there's ben an accident there - I expect you all heard that.

    Joan, Hileena, Bubbadog     and Christine I DID survive the bedroom and Lucy managed to get to the Stock-car racing!!!

    Don't worry about chirpy, you have to say it as it happens or what's the point, some things aren't to be upbeat-ed (grammar!)

    So sorry about the lad that has had bad news. :(
    Terrible also about the Alton Towers incident, as I hear more news coming out. :( Glad Lucy & Charley weren't there! I have passed on some free ticket coupon things occasionally and I always half-think, hope nothing happens and I've changed the course of history for someone - mind you that's the way my mind works about most things #pessimist!

    Sounds like L's bedroom had a good blitz, ah, satisfying. My spare room looks so nice now with new carpet & nowt in it. I have a feeling it's going to turn very demanding on me on what goes back in :shock: at the moment it's trying to make me buy it a nice armchair, a decent stereo, and a pile of arty mags - ideas above it's spare-room station - fat chance tbh ;).

    Glad to hear the packing and planning are coming along nicely. :D xxxxx & sorry for absence.

    Sorry to hear about the lad whose cancer has come back. I hope they can get on top of it again. Not surprised you don't feel chirpy. Thank goodness Lucy and Charley weren't at Alton Towers when the accident happened. Will they still go later when it opens again?

    Thank goodness Lucy is still doing well
    Glad they didn't go to Alton Towers
    As for that lad......{and his wife} married at 19!!!! that's great and great that he has a good family

    Thanks Joan, Christine, Hileena and Toady.

    They are doing their best for the lad, but ATM delay as the chemo required is licensed only for children :shock: He is 19 now I think.

    I also had another shock...remember I asked Dr Tim for something to be translated for France? Well it arrived and for the first time I saw in writing that Lucy's leukaemia was categorised as 'high risk'. I never asked only what the plan was.

    I bet that's why she's extra special to the staff...because she's doing so well :D

    Yes it's good Alton Towers didn't happen for my girls I think - gosh those poor kids :(

    Toady your spare room is very likely to get ideas above it's station looking so smart :lol: I think it would like one of those bowls of water with petals floating in it :lol:

    I don't think there should be a cut off age for cancer treatment. How awful. I hope they do have some treatment to offer the lad. The letter was a shock. It's not something you would think to ask about. No wonder everyone thinks Lucy is so special. And you do sound chirpier Toni. Hope you are enjoying the weather. xx

    Good to have Lucy sitting outside in the shade with me too and Daisycat 'protecting' me from I don't know what :wink:

    Hope you are enjoying it too

    The medication is only licensed for kids because the lad is the first 'adult' EVER to have it it's so rare :shock:

    I apologise for abandoning you for so long :oops: You have all been much in my thoughts but my thoughts have been all over the place - Scotland last week :lol: They are now back in my head where they belong.

    When is the holiday to be? I'm getting quite excited for you all. And a touch apprehensive. These delights involve a lot of ongoing effort and determination. Of course you and Lucy have those qualities in spades but I shall still keep my fingers crossed for you. (especially the two that keep crossing involuntarily :wink: )
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Just a quick bob by because today I have had a humdinger of a migraine :( ya booh :(

    Lucy made me have a lie-down with her. I think she wants me better for tomorrow as she is having her extensions removed ready for our hols (France Stickywicket - a known entity and as safe as possible I promise :) ).

    Good for Lucy....making you lie down.....It probably had nothing to do with extensions...just she was worried about her mam!!!!
    You enjoy Frace, as you say.... an know entity so you should be fine it will do you all good to get away for a bit
