    Dear Tezz,

I'm so glad you are home, Nellie is spreading, but for every day left you can have a day that will be good to remember, filled with smiles and precious time with your family, letting your little ones know how much they are loved, your children already know this, so does your husband.

Let everyone love you and look after you, listen to the nurses, they will make sure you are comfortable, tell them if you are not, they can't help if they don't know.

Thinking of you, sending love every day

So sorry to hear this Tez, after all your struggles, but glad you are home, with your own things(and noise!) around you, rather than the ward.

Tezz, this - as my US friends would say - sucks. I'm so sorry. I've no doubt that you will cope with this as you have coped with everything else but you don't have to put on the brave face all the time. We are there for you whatever and will always be. (((( ))))

I see my oncologist tomorrow - dreading what she will say, but I will keep my chin up, hold Nick's hand tightly, and take it on the chin.

Love to all those who are keeping me going.

They give me six months - we're so upset right now, and the word 'brave' no longer applies to me. (if it ever did )

Right now, I'd like to hide away somewhere, pull up the drawbridge & keep the whole world out.

    Dear Tezz,

Then that's what you shall do. Take time out to grieve, no one deserves it more, both of you. Later you will face the world. Let your family know how you want to deal with this, you choose the best way for YOU.

I'm sorry if it's already been said - have MacMillan nurses been in touch yet? If not make a fuss, they are magnificent at such times.

We'll be there Tezz, to laugh, cry, tough it out beside you

    Love

((( )))Oh believe me, Tezz, 'brave' did and does apply to you.

Pull up the drawbridge, my love, if that's what you need. Keep out anyone and everyone for as long as you need and that, most emphatically, includes us.

There are no 'wrong feelings' here. You feel as you feel and I imagine anger and frustration feature pretty heavily right now. This is not fair and never will be.

One day at a time. Just be you. That's good enough for anyone.

Well, hello fellow forumers- not a proper word, but who cares?

I spent 3 nights last week on the emergency ward at my local hospital , when my haemoglobin plummeted. I was given 5 bags of blood via transfusions, and also IV everything else, or so it seemed. Nellie is obviously leading a gleeful dance.

From there I was taken to St. Cuthbert's Hospice, in Durham, which is a wonderful, peaceful place, where the nurses, careers etc.are like angels - appearing just when you need them. The doctors are 'tweaking' my meds, to get on top of the pain - my raft of meds is now almost an ocean liner size.

My room overlooks part of the extensive garden here, and visitors can come any time. The food is first-class - but it's the CARE that is so valuable. No-one minds if you cry or have a bad day - there's always an arm on the shoulder and words of support. Such people are very special, and all deserve a medal.

I'm in here for a few days, hopefully to regain some strength and a lower pain level for getting home again. Nick & the boys seem more ' reconciled' on what's to come, which helps me enormously - they are tired too.

Please continue to walk alongside me - you are my very precious ' props,' and I still need your support.

    Tezz xx
