Thanks, Val. More cream for you?

So glad you had a good hospital visit! Bet you are relieved it's over, too. I don't take hydroxy, but there will be someone on the LWA forum who does soon. Let us know how it goes.

I shall get back to the cruise once I have had my builders and scone, wonder what's on the menu tonight, apart from Rehab, that is!

Hi Ange. I tell you, this ships doctor is very forceful.
gave my back a real pummelling spent a good long while putting some disks back - my weight doesn't help - puts pressure on the spine. I had told her my left 'bursitis' hip was very painful and that my right was almost as bad. OMG she worked it so hard, pressure, across the back and then the hip. My eyes started welling up, but I was brave, I didn't howl. The neck bit is best. You make yourself relax the whole time. She then gets your neck in a Nelson hold or something, you breath in and as you breath out she yanks your head round. Clunk click. Last week I got the breathing wrong so that as she yanked my head round, the left side of my neck didn't clunk click properly, which is why it has been so sore. She then starts applying pressure down the back of your legs to the knee caps. Gets the cartleges back or something.
The first session which includes assessment cost £40 then £28 each session thereafter. I've got two more booked aswell. Bet it is going to cost me £200 in all, so bang goes my worktops too Jan.
I'll come round the skips with you.
Now, for a quick cup of tea and Bed. I could sleep forever.

    Hi all,

sorry didn't get in here yesterday - missed a lot I see.

Good to see the Christmas revellers returning with happy tales of family christmas. Glad some of you have had good times. Good to see you back on here.

Cris - if you see this before you go - I'll be there with trisher and anyone else too .... you try and get out of this and we will haunt you for ever!!!!!  :wink: you have been wishing and wishing for it, so you be brave and ask for that sedation if you need it - whatever works for you - it's your body and you need to be happy with what they are doing. And littlelegs says she will bite his legs if he hurts you too much  :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Chris - welcome back to Yorkshire! we have been so cold recently, and the pavements have been treacherous. I was happy to see the rain this morning     which has to be a first :lol: it's washed away all the ice :D:D:D

right, is there a hot chocolate spare? and perhaps a bucket of energy to defrost for the morning? I might be in need as I am taking a meal to Mother-in-law tomorrow. Done the meat today in the slow cooker but always end up taking half the kitchen with me to do the rest

might not be in tomorrow so wishing everyone an early 'happy new year' just in case.

    hugs to all (((((((((())))))))))))))))

I had some sessions with a chiropractor years ago after a whiplash injury. At the fourth or fifth session he asked me why I kept tensing up whenever he touched me. I said "because it flipping well hurts" or words to that effect and he looked at me gobsmacked - apparently no-one had ever said that to him before! Were they all frightened to?
He seemed to think it wasn't supposed to hurt - all I can say is that it hurt a lot!
I also had what I knew was a muscle in spasm across my left shoulder - I had to beg and plead with him to do something about it; eventually he did, with one movement, it was wonderful, but why did I have to keep on about it before he would attend to it?
    I gave up then.

Joy that chiropractor sounds painful, hope you do find it helps though.
Debs, glad the appointment made you feel a bit like some progress being made. Hope you can shift that infection soon.
Hi Wonky Happy New Year to you too, sounds like you are still rushing round so take it easy when you can. Not enough rain here to clear our backlog of snow yet.
Jan sorry to see yet more expense with the poorly doggie! Do hope the New Year is kinder to you. Think most of us will be glad to have a new start and leave a bit of lumpy baggage behind us.
Ange Yes it is far too quiet here for me now I'm back home. Hope you are coping and can start thinking about a new doggie next year to keep you company.
Cris you prob. won't see this but am thinking of you tomorrow and hope the denerving is not too painful and gives you some respite.
Annie, couldn't agree more, and will also shout. BONES give out Trish a break PLEASE!
Hope you all have some kip tonight.
Might just see if there are any mince pies left to have with me tea.
Buckets of energy have been refilled and the kettle and light still on if anyone needs to call in later.
    take care

I have a bl**dy good idea bones and pixy and annie and chris and all.
We are going to, just for now, move our cafe to the ship temporarily. There is plenty of space and we could do with a nice quiet area just to be ourselves again. What do you think.
I love coming in here and is messes my head about flitting backwards and forwards..
Slept so well last night, didn't wake up until 10 30 a.m. Had to get up about 6 30, take some parasetamols whatever and I just climbed back into bed and the next thing I knew what OH bringing me a cup of coffee. bless him.
Tricia, what can we do to help you with those bones of yours eh. You nevery seem to get any sleep, well not much. How are your hands?

I am feeling very confident about my chiro treatment. I couldn't have got through Christmas without it anyway.

Finally got a few hours sleep earlier, been out and bought new handbag (yeehar!), chores all done and the rest of the day is mine to chill out, eat, drink and be merry.

I'll have a large builders and a Cornish pasty (haven't had lunch yet, didn't feel like eating then) to line my stomach, then later on whizz to the ship and party on!

    Hi Joan

Happy New Year to you and all the cafe regulars. Just having a quick brew before I get my glad rags and some slap on ready for the party on the cruise. Though I think I lost my fav. shoes there last night! May have to go barefoot.
    c060.gif
Joy,:lol: You are right I was being a bit optimistic saying I must dash!! Been a while since I dashed anywhere   Was nowhere much just had to brave the mad supermarket for milk and a little bottle of wine for this evening. I have even cooked myself a proper meal  and cleared the ironing mountain ready for a new start in the New Year.
Hope Annie, Val and Jan have had a good nap, those fleeces are so cosy eh! Have a good evening, hope to catch you later.

    HI All,

well we had a lovely meal today - and I know it sounded like a lot of rushing around ....... (thanks for the advice to rest - I do know I need to  ) .... but today was a breeze - MIL is an easy one to cook for, and I make it very easy now by taking my steamer, veg already prepared, pre-cooked braising steak to reheat, puds already made ..... so you see it was a lovely time really :D:D:D so much better than Christmas was this year.

Littlelegs is exhausted, having had to contend with such a change to her routine, and she gets so excited to see Grandma :lol::lol: not to mention car rides and contraband food items which grandma feeds to her when I am not watching

anyhow, hope all of you have a wonderful time this New Year (and maybe there is a spare place on the cruise when I can get over there?) and a healthier and happier 2010.

thanks for all the support I get on here .....there have been times this year that I couldn't have got though without you all.

lots of hugs from me (((((((((()))))))))))
and tail wags from littlelegs xxxxxxxx

right ... what shall I have for tea? .... mmmmmmm hot crumpets and butter please, with some soup if there is some.
