HI all,
thansk whoever left the soup on ... .Trisher was that you? ..... just right for the cold tonight ...... I needed warming up.
Snowed on and off today, but now there's just ice everywhere ...... I HATE IT !!!!!!!! never mind that it could get worse before it gets better (why do the weather forecasters always look so cheerful whilst giving such news :? !) and that hubby will be back at work so I can't delegate the dog walking to him  He had to walk to church in the middle of the road this morning so I stood no chance - only managed 200m before turning back.
:?: Maybe I need a sledge and a harness for littlelegs! :!:
Cris - hope you enjoyed the trip out to see the lights. It must have been a relief that the sale was cancelled, although I hope that isn't the pattern for the next few ....will keep fingers crossed for you!
to all those of you due back at work this week - good luck and remember that we will be thinking of you .0 -
Wonky
I'm really neglecting you yes I had soup though. Gosh, I will have to check this weather out. I know it won't be that bad in London.
It's all of you I feel sorry for.
Trish xxx0 -
don't say that too loudly Trisher ! ..... the forecast for later in the week looks decidedly grim 'down south' so I will be keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't as bad as they fear!
still, might be time for us to stock up on wellies, snow shovels, ice picks, crampons, rock salt etc
or alternatively to do as someone ( Annie? sorry can't quite recall  ) suggested and hibernate!0 -
Hi Trish and Annie,
Are we still on Dartmoor? I will find out for you , promise. xx
Hi Wonky,
Slipper boy said he will pull your sledge......... You might end up in a 'slightly' different location to where you planned........ and poss have that bedraggled pulled through a few hedges look about you but he would do it for you
We have a thaw so it must be coming your way till the next batch...... I see snow so rarely I forget how horrible it is, for me its the cold........ I should like to make a snow sheep........
Your right about the sale, i think I still had local in my brain this morning but you know its really much better and not in pain
Come and sit by the fire and get warm Slurps and ((( ))) xx0 -
Right one last builders and a cream cake and I will be making tracks for some zzzzzzz.
It's clouded over here and there are a few flakes of snow.........I didn't think we were supposed to get any tonight. Hope it's just a sprinkle!
Annie0 -
Your not alone Jan, I am still trying to think f fictitious names of people on an old grey mare............... ((( ))) xx0
-
Hi Jan,
its the names on Uncle Tom Cobley...... I got 4 so far...... you don't know any do you
I'm sorry about your knees. Its how it does it in the early stages, sometimes its active and sometimes its not. I wish I knew what to suggest. You got heat on them and mine sometimes like bit of support...... they also like a rolled up towel behind them so they are slightly bent. Somewhere your will have a position that makes them a little bit more comfy.
The neck pain has gone, got a bit of muscular pain but thats not anything like the grinding neck one (((( )))) xx0 -
Wot you doing Jan???
Not sleeping,
xTrish x0 -

Give her a fright, not too much it might come out. Mind with all this weather he/she not silly.
Trish xx0 -
See what we can achieve together, also what we come up with
As she sees that plunger well, she will run
I'm going to see if I can get some sleep Jan.

Hi Pixie
Hi Cris
Where IS that fire piccy????
It is proper chilly.
Have you brought some logs for the fire pixie?
Toni xx0 -
It's FREEZING outside!
The doctor's surgery was pandemonium this morning and I had to wait half an hour just to have a blood sample taken. I'm not complaining (although plenty were) my time today was my own, but they had no heating on in the waiting room and my feet were iced by the time I left.
Have cleared out two cupboards and some drawers, so feel I deserve a large builders and a cream cake. Then we are off to the tip (today's treat).
Annie0 -
Todays treat is the tip.Mine is doing homework with my son....loads of it all left to the last day as usual!
You deserve a treat after leaving you in that cold waiting room for an hour

Ooh, that fire is lovely Jan. Just what I need, with a hot chocolate. I`ve spent the last two days taking all the decs, and lights - and three trees! - down, and packing them all away. I am so achey, especially upper arms, and shoulders. Maybe I won`t bother next year. I say that every year, but I always do. Think I`ll just rest me eyes for a minute......Ange.0 -

3 trees !!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote]
Two are only little fibre optic ones, but the other bugger is 7ft - I`m 5`2" - and if you could see me wrestling with it, you`d laugh your socks off.0 -
I have a beef stew simmering away nicely for tomorrow, it smells wonderful.................I have had a very full day today, but I fell asleep this afternoon - again!
Time for another builders........and a cornish pasty...........and apple pie and custard to follow.........all comfort food!
