I am happy as I will be seeing grandson again tomorrow. He spoke to us on the phone and asked what he is having for his lunch.

Never know a little boy to be happy because of having a roast dinner. It is not he does not have them but he really likes to have that when he comes.

I'm cheerful today! Managed to walk one of my dogs this morning, for the first time since I had my hip replaced 10 weeks and 3 days ago! Am going to walk the other dog later on this afternoon too..

Hope your grandson enjoys his roast dinner Trisher..

:D Hubby treated me to lunch today and at least an 8 mile bike ride, if not 10 miles :D Two humungus BLT baguettes and cold drinks bought on route. Lunch was served sitting on a bench out of the sun, overlooking the river. Idyllic. 8) :D We were out about three hours.

Reason to be cheerful: I went to my daughter's graduation today - lovely day - but rather tired now and feet sore so going to have a very early night with Radio 4!!

So many cheerful people - I love this thread :D

My reason is that it's nearly the summer holidays. No more:

    - having to wake up my kids at 7:30 - they will NOT wake up unless I wake them, it's bliss

    - packing 3 lunchboxes every day

    - ironing school uniforms - I tend not to bother with the rest of their clothes!

    - school runs

    - governor meetings

When me and my hubby are working, they stay with my parents, we're very lucky with childcare. It's all good. And the sun is shining.

My Granddaughters brought home there school report yesterday...It was lovely to read....I am so very proud of them...apart from doing well in most lessons...the thing that stood out the most is how polite they are.
Me and hubby have worked really hard to bring them up, and now we are getting paid back. :):):):)

I suspect, babycham, you mean under-rated. Manners are important as they help to oil the social wheels. There is nothing worse than rudeness, especially when it's uncalled for. I hate holding doors open for people who sweep thro without a word of thanks, or giving way to a motorist who doesn't acknowledge it. Grrrrrrrrr. DD

Anyway, well done on the school reports barbara12 - they sound like lovely girls. DD

Found out today we are boy sitting tomorrow. Our dil wants to go out so we are having him.

We bought him a scalextric racing car set. He came on the phone and ask if his grandad would have it set up before he comes so he would have more time to play.

    Smart thinking.

I had a lovely weekend. Being with such a happy, inquisitive, little person was great fun. What a wonderful age, being nearly two and soaking up lots of information all the time. :D
She loved being at the allotment. This was a new word for her to store away. :D
