Our nephew and wife, both aged 40 years old, have taken a year out and are on their way to South America on their motorbike. Modern technology - we are being so kept up-to-date with their travels, it is fantastic. We have located and dusted down our atlas and are able to follow them which makes it really interesting. We have news from them practically every other day on their website along with photos and this morning a video of them on the road. I am finding is so exciting. Sad old moo that I am, who rarely leaves her postcode!!

Going for my 6 month post op TKR appointment today. So am going out of my postcode as have to take three trains each way. Will browse in a few shops on the walk to the appointment and have a calm, stress free day as long as the trains are working properly.

All good with the knee, consultant pleased and asked me if I thought it had been worth having both knees done as it was a big op. Told him, most certainly, yes! His view on kneeling after a TKR was totally up to the person concerned. If they found it comfortable then it was right for them. I asked if I still had my knee caps, (as Berty posted a thread about them) and he said yes, they were both resurfaced as around 60% of them are with a TKR.
So that is that! Bought a few puzzles for my grand daughter and a top for me. A good day, all round.

Glad to hear all is well Elna.
So you have kneecaps, yeah.
You did so well after both ops
and recovered so quickly both times,
well done.
Enjoy doing the puzzle with the little one.

A Lola day today. I think she may well take me to the library which is just around the corner from where they live.

What a great, busy week and now so happy that it is the weekend and hubby will be home. Nothing planned this weekend which makes it even better, it is a change and a change is as good as a rest. The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

I'm very happy as I'm seeing my grandson tomorrow. So it will be an afternoon full of cuddles kisses and laughter, when we both laugh, we get the giggles.
We have had the call for his Scalextric to be set up so he has more time to play.
I hope you all enjoy tomorrow as much as I will.

Lola day again today. She was poorly all night, throwing up, so is rather listless and pale this morning, so I hear, bless her. So it may be a very cuddly afternoon.

Aw, thank you Ange. Lola was not well and every now and again she said "tummy hurts, doctors." and then she wanted cuddles. She was sick once, over me. Poor little mite. She would not eat anything all day. We even tried to coax her with a rich tea biscuit. At first her little face lit up and then she quickly changed her mind. Most unlike her, so she must be feeling very unwell. She did drink a little water but not enough really. Hopefully she will be feeling better tomorrow.
I hope you are ok, Ange,

Feeling cheerful because Lola slept well and had a little piece of toast for breakfast, so is feeling a much better. Now I must stop lazing around and go to the supermarket, water the toms in the greenhouse, hack back the huge honeysuckle which is dying near our tiny pond and loads more on my list of things to do. Plus ironing, but that goes without saying.

Well got to the supermarket but the heavens opened so soaked cycling home - never mind. Went for a nap instead of dealing with the honeysuckle. That was not on my list but was bliss Sun came out, so was able to tackle part of the honeysuckle and filled a whole green wheelie bin. Elna is happy. Little things please little minds! :roll:The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
