    I found out yesterday that a boy I used to teach is now a professor at Harvard. I was really thrilled to know about him, and I feel quite proud because I was the person who taught him to read when he was young. I always thought he would do well in life, but it is lovely to know of his success.

    No sun today, but feeling so much better and have had a good day!

    Had a laugh, too, going through all the clothes hubby hasn't got!

    What he hasn't got filled 3 bags for the charity shop and one rubbish bag!

    Still laughing!

    :D Very pleased with myself that I got to Hammersmith yesterday and back!! People were so kind when I asked directions, the market research was very interesting as I had no idea what to expect as I have only ever done one before, years ago. That one was in a group, this was, one to one for 1.5 hours.:D :wink:

    :D This morning I am taking it easy, two lots of washing on the line and 3 birthday cards written, one with a letter. :D What next ..... stretching exercises, methinks :D and then a bike out into town to the post office and take a load of books to the local charity book shop :D I love "pottering" days ..... and the sun is shining 8) :D

    Annie this made me laugh, I have just done the same with my OHs clothes, they lookes like something out of the good life when I bagged them up...he say there is best clothes (bless) :lol:

    I've been asked on a date! :D It's always good to know that you've still got what it takes. Even if we don't get on, it's still hell of a confidence boost! :lol:

    :D What a beautiful day yesterday, grandchild, daddy and mummy over in the afternoon, all sitting out in the garden, grand child playing with the trike, soil and water and stayed the night. Mummy and daddy went out to a posh "do" and stayed over as well.

    :D Today, back to normal again :D loads of washing on the line, a lovely pottering day, outside most of the time, if I plan it well. Roast dinner tonight. Soon be lunch time :D Ain't life grand? :D

    My "chill out" day turned to be very busy :D Got loads done!
    Last physio on Monday morning, early. Methinks she just wants to tell me all about the family holiday in Florida :lol::D Will have a browse around the shops afterwards before catching the bus home :D

    I hope everyone had a good week end and were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather :D

    :D Back safely at the haven :D Will have a well earned 30 minute nap to revive myself for the trip into the village after most people's lunch hour has passed and hope the queue in the post office is not too long :D There are also 65 little geranium plugs that have survived so well that I must repot them, sooner rather than later, into larger containers. Far too early to put these little babes outside. :D

    I have survived the Easter holidays and the essay is finished at last, and printed( had to get printer re connected to the laptop as recently changed hub).

    Seems the date isn't happening. Boy, don't I know how to pick them! I backed out as he is getting too pushy. I'm expecting the phone to ring any minute!

    Anyway, the reason to be happy is that I have learnt that I really don't mind being on my own. No one to answer to and I can sleep diagonally across the bed! :D

    I was looking at birthday cards for my friend when I suddenly thought my right eye had gone weird. Panic over, the lens in my glasses had fallen out in the basket! PHEW!!! :lol:

    I'm disappointed for you that the date didn't work out, but there will be plenty more times, I'm sure.

    The bed thing is a big advantage of being on your own :!: :lol:

    The first few dates were pretty rubbish for me too. But I think I just said yes to the wrong people under pressure to get to feel good about myself.Then I started to go to places and meet peeps with the same interests and that is when it got more interesting......

    Its early days....
