    Morning everyone,

And what a lovelly morning, hoping that it's the same where you are.
This morning once I got the girls off to school I sat down and had my fruit and fibre with a nice earl grey, no milk or sugar, i did have a couple of drinks last night but I needed a treat.

I really want to see my scales go down on monday. Fingers crossed for all.

    Morning All!
I think that its a good idea to have variety in as much as I find if I eat the same things over and over I get very bored and start reaching for the non healthy options!!!

Well not long now to weigh day, I consider that I have been a good girl all week ... but I suppose the scales will be the eventual judge of that!

Last night my Nephew came as he usually does on a Thursday and I made him chicken with mushroom tomato and onion cooked in the oven with baby potato and salad it was delicious! very very tasty!

Just had my cereals for breakfast -- This is new - Normally I never have breakfast but I have made myself have some this week and it has stopped me reaching out for biscuits with a cuppa mid morning.

    O dear o dear

Ive doubled my dose of steriods as requested and Ive put on half a stone in a week.

Feel terrible, getting myself all stressed out about it was up all night planning next weeks meals!

I know exactly where ive gone wrong and what I shouldnt of eaten but its sole distroying when you put half a stone on in one week and its all down to an increase of appitite due to the steriods. ya dammed if you do take them and you dammed if you dont!

    Morning everyone
Hope you are all well and that arthur is being good to you.
We are nearly at the end of our first week of our new healthy/sensible eating regimes. I hope that making the changes has not been too difficult and that as we go along ( we are in this for the long haul) it will soon become second nature to us.

Purple storm - Sorry that you have put the weight on but don't despair you CAN lose it again, and we will be here to support you its a shame that meds have these effects isn't it - not to worry though we will support you to adapt.

Now then where are you all at with this -- It has been quiet on this page in the last couple of days so who has got a nice idea for my lunch today?

I weighed myself this morning, I'm going to give my scales a damm good ignoring! I hurt my hip so haven't been using the bike for four days now, perhaps that accounts for putting on a pound?

I'm doing chicken breast with ginger tonight, some stir (chunky) fry peppers and chopped cabbage with caraway seeds and a thin (teaspoon) drizzle of honey laying on some noodles...... and a glass of red! No starters, no sweet, no side dishes.

    8) It's a grin, honest!

The email reminder to look at this thread have taken three days to get to me, anyone having same thing?

    Hi everyone
Yes it wont be long until I am standing on my scales ( and they shout get off youre hurting me! Lol) I don't know about looking forward to it though - I feel a bit apprehensive - even though I have been really good all week - What if I haven't lost anything? and worse still, what if I have put weight on?

Oh well what will be will be.......

    Hi everyone,

I like the Weight Watcher plan, but not the ready made meals.
But i also have an alternative one week diet, this is issued to obese patients before surgery. I'm not saying that any of you are obese, but my point is, it does really work! :grin

If you stick to the diet by the letter, you can lose 1 stone in 1 week! But i modify it to suit me.

It's too long for me to type, but if you private message me, I will be happy to send it to you.

    Be well,

Morning Coco and everyone "in the club"
Yes our first weighday is here - I have lost 2lb too. At first I was quite disappointed - but then reality hit. that is like a bag of sugar and if you have carried one of those in a bag for a while its quite heavy. So onwards we go. And hoping for another 2lb next week!

dont be disapointed cath, 2lb is good, its more likley to stay off if you loose that way, be pleased with yourself as like you say, its one bag of sugar less to carry so well done,

    Hi all,

Well, I am very fed up. I have lost half a pound only and I have been good.

I know I said that sometimes when you first start a diet you may not lose anything in the first week, but really, half a pound. glum glum glum.

Don't despair Karen half a pound lost is better than half a pound on! remember we are in it for the long haul, we are not supermodels losing weight for our next shoot we are doing this for our health and well being, it doesn't matter how long it takes we will be with you throughout the journey!

    Morning everyone.
Well week one is over - the first of many - so we do need to keep motivated. I am so pleased that we all managed to lose something - that means that we are doing good girls!
Jilly are you going back on the Atkins - and Karen are you joining her. I am just going to plod on with the healthier eating. I just dont know if I could deprive myself of carbs completely. Yesterday I had a boiled egg and toast for breakfast, Tuna, cottage cheese, tomato, cucumber and onion for lunch with 2 Ryvita and then as I was working took fruit and a yoghurt for my tea, when I got in I had a cheese sandwich. I know that I shouldn't have but didn't realise that I had still got hard cheese so it has to be eaten -Can't justify throwing it out the price it is.

I think that I am going to write myself some daily menus out because I know that If I ponder about what to eat I am likely to go off track and start eating stuff that I fancy at that moment. If its in black and white it will stop me thinking shall I have this or that.

    Keep up the good work
