I have finished the book and did enjoy the read. Will save my review for the end of the month, so as not to spoil it for anyone else.

Hope everyone else is enjoying it :D

How is everyone getting along with their reading?

I have just read Don't cry by Beverly Barton. I really enjoyed following the characters and although it was a serial killer thriller, no graphic contents or endless swearing. Which made a change!!!

I've just finished "Alice Bliss" by Laura Harrington. It is about girl aged about 15 and what happens when her Dad joins the army (US) and goes off to afghanistan. (sp??) There are all the usual teenage girl problems - boys, mom, school etc mixed with her trying to hold herself and the family together in her dad's absence. I enjoyed it. It was easy to read and made me cry in parts too.

Thank you Suzygirl for doing an amazing job with the Book Club! She is doing a better job than I do!!

    50 Shades of Grey - E L James

I have come to this book later then most of you, I read it while on holiday. Thought the book started slow but got going after the main caracter Anastasia mets with Mr Grey, after then I couldn't put the book down! This book has a good back story underneath the S&M. I truely enjoyed this book, it was different to what I had heard about with all the press and what I had heard from other readers. I enjoyed the back story and may read the next book in the trilogy! - *****

    Folks

I would like to recommend for next month's read EITHER

Before I die by Jenny Downham - this is a fantastic read and one I hesitate to sugggest as it is very sad. If anyone is dealing with any sort of terminal illness it could be too much. It is about to come out as a film though so if peopel did want to read it now might be the time.

In light of this I suggest as plan 'B'

The Woman who went to bed for a year by sue Townsend. Any of you will know that she is really a very funny writer.

    Love

Oh yes, if they can make a stoneheart like me cry then they must be good! You all must think I cry at all the books - Me Before You I read through a veil of tears at the end!!

I just watched the hunger games film and thought that it was well translated from page to screen. I didn't cry at that one though!

Looks like I need to catch up on reading, need to read Septembers book of the month and now Octobers. Oh I'm going to need a shed load of boxes of tissues as I'm crying at everything at the moment! I'm having to sort my HRT out and my hormones are all over the place! I cried at the closing ceremony's for the Olympics & Para-Olympics!!

And I decided while on my holiday that I was going to computer age and get a kindle! My OH has gone to get it now! I do feel like I'm giving up on proper books but with my hands being bad the kindle is better for me. Can't wait to try it!

No Kindle as yet, OH can't decide whether to get me the basic or the new Kindle fire with HD! So we are going to check reviews on both and decide in a couple of weeks as we are busy this week. I still have 3 books to read (Hardback). Will definatly have it in time for our holiday in December!
