There's been a hiccup. After doing her bloods they were waiting for the chemo but then the decision was taken to do a blood transfusion - two pints' worth which will add more time to the chemo etc. She has, however, had her burger courtesy of Paul who drove to the Bull Ring to fetch it for her. What a lovely man he is. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your
day is full of Smiles0 -
Hope everything is all done and dusted by now and you're back home. xxChristine0

Toady - Thank you I hope you are ok? Not sure you are :?
Stickywicket - Thank you for your good wishes all is well ATM
DD - thanks as ever for updating everyone. Lucy had a lovely surprise on Thursday some flowers and a pink spotty bunny (PSB) with a congrats balloon delivered to the house - very grown-up
Joan - thank you all is going very well hardly any nausea and Lucy is eating well too
Christine - Had a long week this week 8pm Monday 7pm Tuesday 6pm Weds.....not to worry it has to be done
Marie - Lucy looked lovely in her new clothes and is eating so well I am relieved because I am convinced surviving the TREATMENT is the most important thing
A good week overall - Lucy even took part in a Teenage Cancer Trust meeting at the hospital talking about facilities and what would also be useful for the future.
She has gained weight and I hope we can build on that.
It was awful being in hospital with that last infection and only being allowed 1 paracetamol to take her temperature down
Back in on Monday and Tuesday a planned transfusion.
Take care everyone and thank you again
love

Well hello! It's lovely to hear from you and thank you for the update. When you say a pink spotty bunny I take it you mean polka-dots and not spot-spots? Well done to her too for taking part in that meeting, she is at the sharp-end so-to-speak so of course she will have an insight that others lack. It's a crying shame that she does but I am sure some good for others will come as a result of her input. Brave girl.
I am pleased that she is gaining weight and I hope that continues. Good luck for next week - new car time too, yes? Cor! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Wanted to add a belated congrats to Lucy on her exam results, she is a fantastic human being, after all she has been through she still was able to do her exams and get an amazing grade! All I can say is WOW! It's great she has been nausea free and eatting. Have a good weekend and (())'s to both of you.0
