DD has broken her arm

She was in town shopping and, can you believe it, fell over her rollator. Luckily Mr DD was with her at the time. She has broken her humerus just where it joins the shoulder and it's very painful. Because of where it is they can't put it in plaster, just a sling. She has to return to the fracture clinic on Monday.

She's putting a brave face on, as you'd expect, but life is tricky for her and she's unable to post on here. I know we'll all miss her but needs must. She only has one hand right now.

Get well soon, DD. (((())))

Oh no. Poor DD. That must be so painful. She'll be furious not being able to continue sorting the house out. Hope you are taking it easy for a while now DD.

Oh dear DD, they say we're only given what we can handle, perhaps you should stop coping so well :?
This must be very difficult for you, and of course very painful, thank goodness you have Mr DD to help, and take care of you.
Thinking of you very much, and wishing you well, or at the very least better.

    Dear DD

I am so sorry to hear this. January has not been a good month for you either. I can sympathise, my shoulder is so poorly too. I hope things begin to look brighter soon for you. This will make life even more difficult than it already is.

    Gentle hugs
    Elna x

Oh DD, I'm sorry to hear that. Is that the new and improved rollator, the successor to the clatterator? This has been an awful month so far. Let's hope February brings some better days.
    Take care DD

She is up - well, from bed to sofa - and has actually managed a bit of sleep though not exactly a lot. She's been very sensible with the pain relief and seems to be getting to grips with life as a one-armed bandit. She's hoping to get on here, briefly, later to thank you all.

I too am pleased you managed a little sleep DD, I'm sure every little helps.
Apart from the damage done, falling really shakes you up, I would think you're in shock, on top of everything else!
Look on the bright side, things can only get better (we hope!)

Oh DD, what a horrible place to break your arm, hope the pain relief is helping a little. Just take it easy and get in a position that is comfortable for you. I'm sending you a gentle (()). Get as much sleep as you can even if it is little power naps, take care.
